This is so far the best sugar replacement I have come across. It has 0 calories and hence, is ideal for weight loss/control and diabetes. No aftertaste and mixes just like sugar. I am fortunately not a diabetic. I want to start on a no-sugar regime to curb my burgeoning belly. So, it is a matter of choice, not compulsion. I have chosen this because I am not impressed with the after-taste of stevia products. I have got it today, and used it once. My verdict is: (1) It doesn't taste like sugar. Not to the extent I thought it would.(2)It does have after-taste. A bitter after-taste. I am waiting my wife's judgment though, as I have not told her that I didn't put sugar in her tea today. Believe me, she is not one to be deceived so easily. Finally, I am not sure it is100% natural. It does have Erythritol, an artificial sweetner. I am not sure it is fully fruit derived. PS: Wife has rejected it.

The texture, flavor, and graininess of TruNativ is the closest thing I've found to real cane sugar. One of the ways I'm using it is with ginger candy. I slice fresh ginger into quarter-inch-thick slices, boil them, then coat them in TruNativ before drying/dehydrating (I also use it to sweeten the leftover syrup, which I use in tea and over ice cream). They come out awesome. Some artificial sweeteners have a weird aftertaste, or they are overly sweet, and that's not the case for TruNative.

The package was prepared with a notch to rip it open , however, each time I’ve used it, I had to get a pair of scissors to cut it open (could be operator error). It is really easy to use since it is a one for one substitute for typical sugar if you need to measure it. It doesn't give you a sugar buzz either like typical sugar.
