Dear Annelies, This is a 5 star product in every sense of the word. The umbrellas is built strong, yet aesthetic and will serve my purposes for a very long time. With the letter you sent along with the package you said that if I ever have a problem with the umbrella drop you a note on your customer service support line and you’ll send me another one!!!! I’m not writing you on your support line because there is anything wrong with my umbrella. I’m writing to say thank you!!!! I’m in Los Angeles where it truthfully only rains a few times a year, if that. We are a desert. However, over the last few days we’ve had a rain storm, pretty significant for this town. And my umbrella quit functioning. Of course I went to Amazon, I looked around and I found your Tumella and was instantly impressed by the video of the wind tunnel and the umbrella’s strength. Again, not that I need a heavy duty umbrella, it only rains a little in Los Angeles. But I was impressed with how far you went in trying to make a very good product. Something better, more durable, more reliable than the mass market. You wanted to be better than the rest for the sake of the customer!!! This stuck with me. So I purchased it. And by the time it arrived we were still experiencing rain and I got to use my Tumella to my sheer delight. It works perfectly. But all of the above is the lesser reason of why I am writing to you. The envelope you included with the umbrella was so fantastically cute and adorable, I was instantly compelled to write to you. The letter, the font used, the picture of the family, your story of how and why you made this product, was so over the top cute I was thrilled at your extreme desire to make your customer happy. And the fact you were willing to send me a new one if this one somehow stopped performing…just melted me!!!!! This is so very unique in the age of fast, disposable, low quality merchandise. Such a breath of fresh air from an a commercial or industrial viewpoint. I have no idea who you are and I am, of course a total stranger to you. But you, your story, your product, your ability to make a superior product over the rest of the market, and your letter including your beautiful photo of your 5 kids!!! (Are those really all yours???) touched my very heart in a way that has not been done in a long time. Especially by a mass marketed product. Thank you for your product. Thank you for your human touch. Thank you for being a cut above the rest. You are obviously very special. If you ever happen to travel to Los Angeles with your family, please call me so I can shake you hand. I hope you sell tons of your umbrellas. I will recommend you to everyone I see. This umbrella seems really sturdy and able to withstand high winds. Although I haven’t tested it yet, it opens and closes easily and is impressively well made.

I bought this in anticipation of a trip to Europe. I wanted something that was substantial yet small and lightweight. I haven’t used it yet but I’m impressed with the quality of the umbrella. It has a nice heft, and the closing and opening seem to be very smooth and strong. I’m glad I purchased it even though it was more money than some of the others. I believe you get what you pay for and this is no exception. I hope it doesn’t rain, but if it does, I’m ready! I also love the color selection. I got the red and it’s beautiful.

Very nice umbrella, but not what I consider to be a “compact/travel size” umbrella. Bought this for a trip, but did not take it as it was “normal” size and heavier than I wanted. Trying to decide if I will keep it, as I really like the color for summer use (instead of the other black umbrellas I have)…

I've ordered many umbrellas over the past few years because I use them for sun protection. I will never purchase another brand again. Since owning this umbrella it quickly became my favorite due to its gorgeous print and durability. When the button seemed to become stiff and it was hard to open and close the umbrella after almost 2 years of use, I emailed the company and they sent a replacement! I am thrilled with the product and the customer service!

I originally had some issues with my first umbrella, it was pretty heavy, left a greasy black residue, and constantly flipped inside out in the wind, which was really frustrating. I reached out to customer service, and they were super helpful and quickly offered to send me a replacement for free! I just got the new umbrella and had the chance to test it in windy conditions, and I’m really happy with it. It’s much lighter, there’s no residue at all, and most importantly, it held up perfectly in the wind without flipping inside out even once! As a bonus, it’s also a bit slimmer, so it fits much better in my backpack. Overall, I’m very satisfied with both the product and the excellent customer service. Gen handled the issue quickly and made everything right, which I really appreciate.

This is a nice compact umbrella that’s lightweight and easy to carry. It opens smoothly, and the overall quality feels great.

Absolutely love these umbrellas - they are so good! Super sturdy and we love the designs on the underside of the umbrellas (my husband and I each have our own). Sadly, one of them encountered an issue with the runner; it stopped opening and closing. This issue occurred 9 months after purchase and only a handful of uses. I emailed the company and Gen was outstanding. Gen said the umbrella was under warranty and after I sent a video of the malfunction, Gen shipped a replacement out right away. I appreciated Gen checking back with me to make sure the new umbrella was working properly. I would highly recommend an umbrella from TUMELLA!

I love the sturdiness of these umbrellas. I bought two early Jan 2025. Unfortunately after a few months, one of them stopped working and I was unable to close the shaft (the other one is still in mint condition), so after reaching the Tumella team and providing evidence of the issue, they were happy to send me a free replacement. They were speedy in their reply and followed up all the way through until they knew I was happy with my replacement which I received within days. Overall I am a very happy customer and would definetely recommend buying!

The umbrella looks nice, feels well built, and easy to use. Have used in sunny, windy, and rainy conditions - does a good job. A tiny amount of water gets through the wind vents under extremely heavy rain, but this can be mitigated by holding the umbrella at a steady angle. So far it's a reasonable compromise considering how well it's holding up during heavy rain and wind.

Like many, we have purchased several umbrellas that have disappointed in their quality and longevity. We decided to purchase two of these. Delivery was quick and we are very pleased with the quality and build. To use, remove from the holder, unravel the velcro tie and push the button in the handle. The spring-assisted opening is instant,and strong, so please avoid opening in close proximity to another person. If you are inclined, you can assist the opening speed by partially dampening the opening by pressure on the top. A bonus of the effort necessary to close the umbrella should be deemed as a comfortable physical exercise for the arms and chest! But, that displays the strength of the mechanism, and is supported by a lifetime warranty. We are very pleased and confident our umbrellas will outlive us and continue to give good service to our family members. It really is compact, superior, strong, and beautiful,
