The mode uses the battery power to turn on automatically and record for a period of time if you vehicle is bumped by something or someone while it parked and youre away. •Recorded videos are truly HD quality if you choose that quality, allowing you to read license plates, signs etc. •records speed and location •has a zoom feature that allows you to zoom in to get a closer look. • if in an accident or you get a ticket that either is not your fault or incorrect this will save you hundreds if not thousands and pay for its self in its first time saving you from either situation.CONS:•Night vision on secondary camera is limited to a small field of view outside of that area its dark or very hard to see anything. • Front cam does not seem to have low light sensitivity meaning a lot of dark areas at night when recording. •The speed monitor on the system doesnt have an option for MPH its locked to KMH. •Does not come with a storage card, nor does it have built in memory. •the device along with the mounting hardware takes up a lot of windsheild viewing area in my opinion.•Using the parking assist mode bypasses the auto overwrite function and will cause your device to run out of storage forcing you to manually format the card often. •Buttons and overall navigation using the buttons take some getting used to. (Youll figure out it with some frustration though)HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS•Be sure to go into the menu and format your storage card or youll get an error saying that your card is incompatible.•Be sure to make sure the SOS remote button is very very close to the unit, and low battery can make it nonresponsive at almost any distance.•Be sure to regularly format your device if you have the parking assist mode engaged as it will bypass auto overwrite filling up your storage to full capacity.•Be very careful when loading and unloading memory card, the spring in the slot if not careful will send your card flying with speed to be lost forever next to the fries you dropped between the seats a year ago.•Format regularly, hard braking and hard bumps will register as impacts and will locked and saved not to be recorded over filling up your card to the point of low or no usage.•if you plan to use the parking assist option you may want to charge the internal battery to full at first install because that option uses the battery to operate.•with the rotating camera having night vision and the front lacking I'd suggest rotating the cam towards the front at night if you absolutely need better night vision of the road ahead while recording. Be sure to turn off the night vision mode which turns on infrared lights that will glare off of the windshield but still allows for low lux lighting recording.• i have my parking assist set to the mid setting that seems to work for me and if i lean in and bump the vehicle itll record.•make sure your time is ALWAYS displaying correctly, incorrect times could work against you in an attempt to prove your case.•your singing, booger digging, non P.C. convos, road rage and littering will be recorded so remember this device can help and also make you look like and sound like a screeching dying animal that is angry with the world while cursing and making a mess of the planet.I love this device and I will eventually buy another, I will suggest it to my friends and I suggest if you need this system or anything like it. this is the one to buy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would recommend this product at this price point *by L***Y on Reviewed in the United States on September 26, 2017* Aside from being bulky, it does everything that I want in a dashcam. The front camera is zoomable, so you can zoom in what it records in front of your vehicle. The bottom camera rotates 315 degrees, so you can set that to record yourself/passengers, or you can rotate it to record things on the side or front. This bottom camera has 4 infrared lights that illuminate the inside of your car when you drive at night, or you can simple use it as a secondary camera for the road in front.Setup was a breeze, kind of. The instruction manual was written by an elementary student, so it seems. It's pointless to even read it. You just have to play around with it to get the settings you want.Yes, this dashcam does have a parking mode, meaning, if you set it, and if your car is bumped, the camera will turn on a record a few seconds of video. I did not test this to see how long it records, but it does turn on. I have mine set to HIGH Sensitivity.The GPS is really neat too, aside from the speed cannot be changed to MPH.The only reason why this is a 4 star is because of the manual, and the charging cord. The supplied cord has the length for you to run it through your dash onto the top, but the plug in piece itself is junk. After 15 minutes of use, to setup the camera, the cord was not working properly, and the camera would flash quickly that it was charging-not charging-charging-not charging. I ordered a 6ft FLAT Micro USB cable to install in its place since it will be easier to install through the lining and dash as well.My recommendations for you - buy a memory card with the unit because it will require it. Flash the card immediately as soon as you are able to navigate to it in the settings. When setting up the settings, the camera will turn on. When it is recording, you are accessing a different set of settings. This was frustrating at first. Once you have all the settings you want, just set it and forget it. The camera does the rest.I would recommend this product at this price point.
