Nice quality cup
I like this cup. Its sturdy, seems very good quality. I don't use it since I can't drink the yerba matte in this thing as its too strong and tastes like cigarettes butts. I keep it as a souvenir now in my mug cabinet.

Perfect for beginners
Yerba maté can seem a bit alien if you’re not used to it. I’ve always wanted to try it, but there are so many aspects and culture around it that I would get daunted. So, as a complete beginner I did a lot of research and decided this would be my first “gourd”.The traditional cup is made of an actual dried gourd and must be seasoned and cared for so that it doesn’t mold over or crack. At this point, I just want to have something to drink and not worry about all that. This mug has been the perfect starter set for me. The shape is perfect to hold in several ways. I have small girl hands and it’s very comfortable for me. The round belly gives you a comfortable place to “hug” on the center, and the flared rim makes it easy to carry securely from above. I take this thing all over the house with me, and my clumsy self hasn’t dropped or tipped it over once. The double wall design insulates very well. Yerba usually floats and adds another layer of insulation and keeps the temperature very stable. Make sure to not use boiling water as you don’t want to scorch the leaves.I’ve gotten several bombillas (straws) of different builds and designs. There are many beautiful designs (seriously, look up the bird one on Etsy), but this one has given me zero clogs and fits through other lidded cups with straw holes. I can’t say that for other designs. The spade shape makes an effective scoop also.My ONLY gripe is the laser-etched logo on the belly. The laser etch on the rim is beautiful and is a cute culture throwback, but the logo is just.. there. I put some floral stickers over it and think about it no more. The divider is also a bit odd. I tried it but the leaves just swirl through.Oh, and a tip for beginners: I tried the Amanda brand first, and while the effects were strong, I realized that I do not like the smoky flavor. I got the "Mate Factor Organic Yerba Mate, Original Fresh Green" here on Amazon and it has a fresh, bright flavor with no smoke. I love it, and actually enjoy it with water at room temperature.

Beautiful cup. Branding is a bit much.
I'm a new mate drinker after hearing about all the health benefits. So far it has completely replaced all other forms of caffeine for me. I'm still learning how to prepare it properly, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the design of this cup.The cup is full stainless steel, which is mirror polished and has a nice pattern etched on the rim of the cup. There is "Procreat" etched in large letters on the side of the cup which is tacky in my opinion and excessive branding usually detracts from the overall product. The filtering plate that comes with this also has branding and the box also contains excessive branding. I'm surprised they didn't try to add branding to the bombilla. If the use of branding was minimized, I would be more satisfied with the looks of this, but overall the design is still beautiful. As far as functionality goes, I foregoed the filter almost immediately to brew traditionally so I don't have much to speak to there. The bombilla worked fine and kept most of the leaf out of the straw once I learned to stop moving it around while drinking. This has worked well so far as a beginner and has been quick and easy to clean and dry. I've heard that traditional gourds made with wood provide a better flavor, but they are harder to clean and take a while to dry before you can use them again.I might try to find a more traditional gourd at a later point, but for starting out, this has a lot of perks that make it worth it for me.
