It doesn't have a lock and key. The carrier clamps to a UK towball using an adjuster screw.

Q: I plan to fit to my Motorhome tow ball. Does this carrier sit perfectly horizontal or does it raise slightly the further from the towball you get?

It sits horizontally across the vehicle but has a slight incline aft of the towball, I would reckon about 7.5°
