Sticky Fingers
The only downside is that you will recieve sticky fingers afterwards. It stuck my plate onto my beloved Corsa 1.2l's plate holder with ease. If you can actually save up your money to purchase it will be money well spent. I have my job seekers allowance to thank for me being able to purchase this at ease. Easy to remove sticky back (red).

Not great for 4D number plates
Found to have worked well on normal ‘2D’ number plates, but when switching over to ‘4D’ I found the sticky pads weren’t really suitable for holding the additional weight. Front plate fell off twice, don’t recommend

All Good
These work fine.Sticking plates on was new to me, I am more used to screw fitting. If you are a ‘stick on’ novice like me these tips may help:-1. Probably best to order and inspect your number plate before starting. (I ordered one ‘click and collect’ at Halfords, but it was awful. The new plate was worse than the old one, so had to then wait 48hrs to get a much better quality one mail order).2. Leave plenty of time to get the old plate off. If it is falling off already no probs. Mine was WELL stuck and took an hour. WD40 works well, but old pads may need soaking. If access is good you can also use a short length of floss to cut through pads, carefully of course. More WD40 and a credit card or similar to very gently scrape old pads away. Be careful with the paint of course!3. Then use a paint friendly degreasant, lots of soap and water and final clean with meths or similar paint friendly cleaner. Don’t leave anything on too long though! I heard motorcycle chain cleaner works well if just left for a few seconds and cleaned well, but no promises.4. Don’t forget to clean the back of your new plate as well. Easy to assume it is clean if new, but it needs to be grease free.Fitting the new plate is the easy bit, but a few more tips there:5. If the surface you are fitting the plate to isn’t flat, then use different pad thicknesses to fit it (eg 1mm thick at the centre 3mm at left and right edges. That helps reduce the bend on the plate itself so reduces the ‘spring’ effect of a bend in the plate.6. If you don’t have any recess on your boot/hatch etc then strip of masking tape on the boot below your fitting point may help to align the plate, as you can use it as a marker and play around with the position first. Putting a marker in the centre of boot, and centre of the plate also helps, just align the two. You only really get one go, so better to mark out first.7. Once stuck, applying pressure by hand is okay but can’t be done for long and people move. Clamping is okay but fiddly, however if you open your boot/hatch it MAY sit flat enough to simply stand something on the plate (I used some old books). Leave for a few hours somewhere safe, then you’re done.Sorry that write up was a lot longer than I thought when I started !! Hope it helps someone.

Better than expected
I normally purchase Halfords sticky pads but they're rarely in stock at my local store and I needed to change my number plates to sell my car so I gave these a try. I was a little hesitant given some of the reviews but thought I wouldn't need them to last long given I was part exchanging my car. As it turns out I had my car for another month after changing the plates & I had no problem with the sticky pads although I did use 6 on each plate just to make sure. I hand-wash my car so I didn't try them through a car wash but they did stand up to wind & rain. These are thicker than Halford pads & don't seem as sticky but they did the job. I have used the remaining ones to stick plates to my new car but I also added a couple of Halfords pads too.

Great adhesive does the job
This is the best double sided adhesive tape that I have found. Used them for attaching a number plate to a motor bike and for metal signs on outside wall. . Would recommend
