It’s not as nice looking as the giant wooden ones but those are also at least twice the price. I was looking for the best island I could get for the best price and I am not disappointed in my purchase. I had my father in law put together, he is a construction worker, and it was a multi day hours each day project. There are a lot of pieces, the cardboard back side of it is a bit flimsy wood would have been better, it’s not noticeable unless you’re looking at it. It’s also kind of hidden by the drop leaf, I leave mine up with stools. It’s a good size, and I used the hand towel rack for a paper towel holder and it’s perfect size for a roll. It is sturdy, it’s does not wiggle or tip, but I have the pegs on rather than the wheels, you get to choose when you assemble. The leaf is also pretty solid, I mean I’m not going to hop up and sit on it but it’s shown no signs of too much weight during use or leaning on it. The drawers aren’t wide, my kitchen has narrow drawers and so does this island, you can’t fit a silverware tray but it’s still a good sized drawer for all my measuring, baking, etc., junk. Pretty light and easy to move, I bought it for the extra counter space and the leaf for seating since there’s just two of us, so perfectly serves its function.
