Perfect for Brining Turkey—Super Durable and Space-Saving!
I used this Rubbermaid 12 Quart Food Storage Container to brine my turkey for Thanksgiving, and it was absolutely perfect. The size is just right for a large turkey, and the square shape made it easy to store in my fridge without taking up too much space. The container is super sturdy, and the clear plastic makes it easy to see exactly what's inside. The airtight lid sealed everything in so there were no leaks, and it kept the brine nice and contained. It’s also great for meal prep and sous vide—I've used it for both, and it works like a charm. The 12-quart size is ideal for family meals, and the best part is that it’s easy to clean afterward. Definitely a versatile tool in the kitchen for both big and small tasks!Pros:✔️ Perfect size for brining turkey or large cuts of meat✔️ Space-saving square design fits easily in the fridge✔️ Durable and sturdy, built to last✔️ Clear plastic so you can see what's inside✔️ Airtight lid prevents spills and keeps things fresh✔️ Easy to clean—dishwasher safeFinal Thoughts:If you’re looking for a durable, reliable container for brining, meal prep, or sous vide, this is the one. It’s super practical, and I’ll definitely be using it for many more Thanksgiving turkeys—and all my other kitchen needs!

Upgrade to the decades of so-so food storage boxes I've had
I've got two of the 5-quart containers so far. I wanted to try them out before buying more. Note: you must purchase the lids separately - also available here on Amazon. I did a fair amount of research before landing on these (OK, my wife thinks I'm obsessive about product selection!). Glass containers are nice, but potentially fragile, heavy, thick walled, lower capacity than similar plastic ones; great for some folks - just not my preference. I've used polyethylene containers (like KitchenAid) for many years and they've been fine - I just wanted to move to something sturdier that wouldn't pick up odor. In the end, it came down to these Rubbermaid Commercial containers or very similar products from Cambro. They're incredibly close, and you'll find either one in commercial kitchens - for good reason. They're crystal clear - you can see right into them to see your food. Sizing is designed so you can easily stack them, and they're extremely sturdy. The 5-quart containers (and corresponding lids - don't forget to order these as well!) are a great size for me. Two of these will hold a 15 lb bag of Basmati rice split evenly between them. One of these will hold 5 lbs of flour, or 5 lbs of sugar: if you bake frequently it would be great to stack a few for different types of flour, white / brown / confectioners sugar. The lids are a snug fit and are clearly air-tight.I've used the two for rice for a few months now and am very happy with them. I'm placing an order for a few more today for flour and sugar. A bit pricey, but I expect to have these for many years to come.

Sous-vide in the Clear, 12 Quart Container
A note about this review: I did not use this container for the advertised purpose. Instead, I used it as many others have and will, as a sous-vide bath for cooking. My review will be from this point of view.Positives+Works great with Anova Sous-vide+Sturdy, even when full of water+Clear and easy to see the items cooking inside.+Easy to cleanNegatives-Is not BPA FreeI purchased the clear 12 quart storage container for the sole purpose of using it to cook with my Anova Sous-vide. I wanted something that would be large enough to accommodate large meals for when I have friends or family over, and it definitely does. I can easily feed 6 people with the space and though I have not tried, probably up to 10. Because the container is so much bigger than the pot I was originally using, it does take longer to warm the water, but as long as you fill it with hot water from the tap it should not take too long before you’re ready to cook.I also purchased the lid (linked below) for the container to try and prevent loss of water through evaporation. The lid is flexible plastic and I had no problem cutting a hole into it for the sous-vide to pass through. The lid sits pretty snug, even with multiple binder clips holding my sealed food circling the rim.Overall I think this is a great container for sous-vide cooking. It is sturdy even when filled with water, easy to see through to your food cooking inside, and works great with the Anova sous-vide.Container Lid:Rubbermaid Commercial Plastic Food Storage Container Lid, Square, White, 12 Quart

Best Containers Ever
We are a family of 7 and buy flour, sugar, etc in bulk at Sam's Club and Costco. I decided a few years ago that I wanted to get containers to store it in to help better organize our pantry and I happened upon a pack of 2 of these while at Sam's Club. They were a fantastic price and they were absolutely perfect. They fit a lot of flour, sugar, etc in them and are so easy to get a measuring cup in and out of. The containers themselves are a great size for keeping on a shelf and easy to get on and off a shelf; while they're big they're not so big that they can't easily be handled. Aesthetically they're very pleasing and they definitely help with organization. Needless to say I loved them so much that I wanted to buy more, but when I went back they had sadly discontinued them. When I searched for them on Amazon at that time they were incredibly expensive so I couldn't buy more from here. But recently I got back around to trying to find them again and finally found them on Amazon for a great price. I ordered 2 more and was super pleased to find that they are the same quality and I love them just as much. I highly recommend these! A couple things to add- these are definitely air tight and leak proof. The lids can seem quite hard to get on at first, but I found that you get used to how to get them on all the way and it's definitely worth it to get that air tight, leak proof seal. Theses are incredibly durable and I expect that will last 10+ years. These are easy to clean.
