Do not recommend, Zero customer service/don’t trust warranty
I bought the XP35HPE engine for my stump grinder hoping it would be a good replacement with some extra horsepower. I had my mechanic install it and when he went to turn the engine over for the first time it made a grinding noise and locked up. Upon further inspection behind the front cover he found chunks below the flywheel, he discovered some of the magnets on the charging system had broken off and damaged some of the copper windings, for reasons unknown, but regardless should not have been an issue out of the box with a new engine. I reached out to the manufacturer to seek warranty, called twice within a few days, could not get ahold of a representative either time and left a message both times with no call back, reached out through email and no reply. After my mechanic cleaned out the chunks it ran and appears to still work but I have little faith in it knowing it had this issue out of the box and the company is ignoring the issue. It appears to run and work ok for now but as I said, I have little faith it will last, I’m under the impression it is cheaply made. The other thing about this engine is it is very electronically controlled, electric start and electric throttle adjustment, because of what I have experienced thus far I do not see these features lasting long in something that works outside in the elements. This stump grinder is the key element to my business and after two weeks of waiting for the engine to arrive I’m stuck with something I can’t rely on and no response from manufacturer. Do not recommend

Great power and torque ! great product only problem came out of shipping box with broken air box
Great engine love the push button start and the variable speed control super easy to wire add install only problem needs a different air filter, it needs more heavy duty, double air filter for what I am doing with the engine. Overall great product.

No customer service or parts. So I’m sure that’s no warranty. Push button broke and with the electric carburetor can’t swap to key switch. Wasted money trying to go cheaper.

Delivery shaky - downhill from there
I’ll buy American I decided for my new stump grinder motor. The motor was delivered with a damaged and opened box - there may be missing parts, I don’t know yet. The book was missing. Had to have a mounting plate specially made, picked that up yesterday. Went to mount the motor today and half the holes are not tapped. I called Duromax support, got to a rep within 2 minutes, then got put on hold after my first question. I waited on hold for the rest of the day. I finally left a voicemail for a callback when they closed at 5pm pacific time. I guess I wait until Monday to see if this warranty, this motor, and this company is worth anything.

No Spare Parts in case something goes wrong.
Zero spare parts for this engine. It's too bad because I thought this would be a good alternative, well it's not.

DUROMAX XP35HPE - Great engine so far.
I didnt buy this on Amazon, I bought it from Home Depot for the same price. The engine is for my home built airplane. With the exhaust, air intake, carb, eletronic speed control/ECU and wire harness removed, the engine weighs 114 pounds with oil installed. It does not have a mechanical govenor so you dont need open the crank case to remove it, and you dont need worry about pluging the govenor shaft hole since none was used. The intake has the same bolt hole pattern as the preditor 670 so a makuni carb adaptor from performance 670 will work. Its a beautiful looking engine and super easy to convert to a mud motor or in my case an aircraft engine. The only draw back is that there are no performance parts available except the carb adaptor. A billet aluminum flywheel is definetly needed for this engine but there are none available for now.

Support is non existent
I purchased this motor directly from Duromax and after only a few uses the start button, digital readout and the speed control all went out. It's annoying but I can understand. The frustrating part about it is that even after calling and sending multiple emails I still have not received a response back. I would even go as far as just ordering and paying for the parts at this point but there's nowhere to order parts from.
