it's what you think.
This is tin lead solder. it's ideal for electronics. this diameter specifically is just about perfect for components that pass through and solder on from the underside. This or .7 imo it's just fine. not linked, very soft and easy to place. cleans up beautifully with some flux and wick. this is not the kind for jewelry, but i bet they offer that as well.
