Jack Daniels Whiskey Honey, 70cl

I bought this so I could try it and to expand my drinking palate and to my surprise I very much enjoyed it right off the bat. I'm not normally into whiskeys, scotch, bourbon and the like but this was a great discovery for me. It's about 5% less in alcoholic strength that the normal Jack Daniels but it still has the heat but I found it a more pleasant heat than other whiskeys and spirits and I found it to be a smooth flavour and taste with a good honey taste that feels good on the tongue. I recommend this for anyone, for themselves or for a gift for Father's Day for example.

I usually can't stand JD but this honey flavour is something else, it's very sweet and leaves a honey/vanilla-like aftertaste. I could drink it all day (but I won't...) Came packaged very well, in a huge box. Unfortunately I didn't realise it would be delivered by a courier that would need a signature, so I almost didn't receive my delivery after 2 failed attempts (UPS does 3 attempts, not specifying time of delivery only day, then withdraws to depot for collection which happens to be an hour drive from me so I would have lost the item. Who's in at 10am on a working day?!) Item is now on offer in my local supermarket so I'll stock up, at £20 it's a good buy.

I don't drink, however I saw this on a trip to America and picked a bottle up for my parents, who occasionally partake in a drink. Typically though, I had to endure a pointless conversation to start with, which went like this. "I've brought you back a bottle of something" "What is it?" "It's this" (shows them the bottle) "We don't drink Whiskey" "I know. It's not really a whiskey, but a honey liqueur" "Oh. Ok" "That's why I got it, it's something different." "Ok. Well, we'll give it a try." And try they did, at which point 20% of the bottle (the US version is 100cl) was consumed with them exclaiming it was very very nice indeed. Within 2 weeks, the bottle was 50% gone and I'm wondering why I didn't get them another bottle or why I had to have the conversation outlined above. Since I don't go to the US frequently enough, I checked Amazon and found this - which while not as cheap as the airport, wasn't a bad price. Luckily this will have to do them until I go again at the end of the year. They've already told me to bring back another, so I'm guessing that they like it.

This is a really nice whiskey. It's a lot sweeter than normal JD & has a lovely, burnt caramel/honey taste. It goes down very easily, some might say too easily & warms your belly on its way to your liver & kidneys. Many a night, I have drank the whole of the bottle's contents, awoken to the sound fssss-ptut fssss-ptut fssss-ptut fssss-ptut fssss-ptut at 3am & then suddenly remember that I need to turn my record over. Awesome!

great price and delivered for free aswell. just recently discovered this stuff and i love it so smooth to drink!! much nicer than jim beam honey which is stronger and not as smooth to drink. i bought two bottles at £16 and am really pleased packing was great and delivered by ups too.

My Mum and Dad bought some of this back from America for my husband - he is not a whiskey drinker usually but I have to say this is very very nice! It is incredibly smooth. I would say you should should give it a try and if you don't like it I'll give you my address ha ha and you can send it to me :-)

I would almost o as far as saying this drink is too nice! it is so drinkable! goes great with coke or lemonade. you hardly know your drinking alcohol. the taste is just amazing. if you don't like standard JD, then try this, it is a lot lot sweeter than JD, and has a great honey taste. its not like other alcohol flavours that claim to be something they are not. tastes great as a mixer or on the rocks
