A must for film fans of stop motion animation!
I was always interested in stop-motion animation as a kid after watching 7th Voyage of Sinbad on tv in the 1970's (never saw of the end of it due to a power cut! 😁). I have seen the Harryhausen exhibition in London several years ago so was inspired to buy this book. Not disappointed!

Great Book
I remember all of Ray Harryhausen's films from my youth and it is great to have a book full of the posters from his films. The quality is brilliant and the artwork for the posters is outstanding. If you are a fan of Ray's work or just enjoy looking at film posters, buy this book, it's well worth it.

Beautifully printed
This was a present for my daughter as Covid had prevented her from going to the Harryhausen exhibition. She was delighted with it and thought that it was beautifully printed and presented.

One of best books on Film posters !
I own quite a few volumes on movie memorabilia - this is one of the very best! Superb quality, great choices, big format, tasteful modern design... just GREAT! Ray would have loved it !! Since the price is also OK... just get it, you won't regret it...

Appears to have been damaged in transit
The book is great other than the corner of the book was really knocked in which was quite disappointing

You can never own too many coffee table books about Ray Harryhausen
This is a beautiful art book celebrating the work of Ray Harryhausen by featuring the numerous pieces of advertising artwork created to sell his films worldwide. It's a beautifully put together package. It's really interesting to see how artwork is redone and repurposed from country to country. Sometimes an initial piece of artwork created for the American or British release is altered or redrawn but present through seemingly every poster created, other films have wildly varying poster designs, where every single poster for a different country goes into a wild, different direction. I have to say, the 7th Voyage of Sinbad is probably my favorite chapter in this book just because all the posters are so different. Sometimes they emphasize Sinbad and the princess, sometimes they emphasize the skeleton fight, and sometimes the giant monsters are what's highlighted.Though the reproduction of artwork is the main component of the book, there's also a short write-up of each film constituting a brief overview of Rat's career. I found this really interesting, because it highlights some names in the development process for each movie that I was unfamiliar with. I didn't know that Ray frequently collaborated with a sculptor from the Smithsonian Natural History Museum to design a great many of those creatures!
