Fast, rugged RC Truck that is a lot of fun
The media could not be loaded. You can start driving this RC truck around as soon as you charge the lithium battery for the truck and insert 2 AA batteries into the remote control device. There are accessories that you could change out, etc, but not needed to get started. The truck is very fast but of course your can go slower with the proportional throttle and the controller works great to navigate around objects with a knob to make the turns. I drove through grass and over stones and didn't get stuck. You can buy extra lithium batteries for it on Amazon for about $8 each, in case you wanted to drive it for an extended time. This is a rugged, fast, fun truck, albeit a little overpriced.

Great starter crawler!
Some RC cars under $100 don't have good control, the controls are are either 0% or 100% throttle or steering with nothing in between. This one let's you feather the throttle so you can climb over obstacles with ease. I am super impressed with this thing! I have a Traxxas TRX4M and I love it but it is kind of a lot to spend on a RC if you don't know if you will enjoy the hobby and that's where crawlers like these come in.At about half the price of some of the hobby-grade options this RC car gives you a lot of the desired qualities and performance with a more simplified design. The screws are just mini Phillips head screws so they are easy to address if you need to remove or tighten something they even include one in the box!For performance, it is quick! You can even do small jumps if you want but it will nose dive but hey that doesn't mean it's not fun! The motor has plenty of power to climb over obstacles and very steep grades. You can slowly crawl and navigate over things or just gun-it over them! The only thing is this doesn't have a brake so you can't let off the throttle and expect it to stay. It will just roll back down if you don't stay on the throttle. Also, I think it is worth mentioning that steering is not very wide so you can't take tight turns.Out of the box this vehicle is ready to run (just needs AA batteries for tranmitter/controller) the rechargeable battery (via included usb a charger) is sitting under the hood and even has some life in it if you want to try it out right away. There are a lot of accessories, make it look simple with the installed bumper and click on the roof rails, tail light and signal lenses and screw on the rear tire and you are ready to roll. Or remove the bumper and replace it with the offroad bumper and keep the flow going by replacing the grille, lights and roof rack and you are ready to go! Majority of the accessories just click on so don't stress it! That being said, there are small parts so be careful if you have little ones. I would suggest using some super glue and making a more permanent install to reduce the risk of things popping off and making it into their mouth.Overall this thing is great! Having headlights that are even colored correctly for the era is awesome. It is a no frills crawler that would be a great starter vehicle. Small enough for indoor use like climbing over books or large enough to take outside to navigate large river rocks. Keep in mind that the vehicle is bare when you get and requires some assembly to get it to look more how you want it to. You could make some upgrades if you wanted to but I think it would be better to just get move to a hobby level rc to really unlock the ability to upgrade.

Battery Included (NOT)
This looks really cool, styled after old skool model of Toyota Landcruiser. It has options for customization though I agree with another viewer regarding adding a little glue/super glue to ensure proper adherence for your little monster truckThough listed in both description and packing list, no battery included. I returned and reorderd…and #2 also listed battery as included on the info sheet yet none were included. So plan for more investment in terms of purchasing a battery (& in my case, gas to drive 45 min 1 way to return attempt/truck #1.So knocking off stars for no informed decision about additional cost (battery) & wait time (for battery arrival).Still not crawlin’ as await battery…

Competent trail truck
This is a pretty neat little truck. It has a 260 brushed motor that is powerful enough for this light vehicle. It has only one speed, so trigger control is essential when rock crawling. It has lights which look really scale and cool. It has friction shocks, which are just springs. That part is a let-down, but for the price of the car, you can’t complain. The tires are not bead lock and are not glued. It comes with a couple trim options for bumpers and roof rack. I installed the low profile bumper as I think it looks better and doesn’t get hung up as much on rocks. My one concern is that the motor is visible from the bottom of the chassis, with the wire leads exposed. That means this rig is definitely not waterproof. I tried to remedy that by applying liquid electrical tape to the motor leads. It also means that the leads could get snagged by rocks or twigs, depending on how/where you drive it.I would say that this is a very competent trail truck, less so a rock crawler. For the price and the features, this car is a good deal. It’s lots of fun for my kiddo!

Back yard adventure awaits
This truck is an extremely fun and capable little truck. The term rock crawler doesn't really fit it as much as an 4x4 trail truck. if you think of it this way and not expect it to use it for bouldering, then it ticks the right boxes. The build itself is pretty robust and if not abused should hold up to some fun driving around the yard as well as park trails. The remote is a bit sensitive but with some practice lets you enjoy smooth input and response. The battery life is ok for about ten minutes of running around on highspeed but is easy to stretch to 15 plus if you're just exploring the flower bed on low. I do wish they had included a second one though. I'm a big fan of FPV and this is another really great platform to strap a camera on and grab your goggles. Hard to describe how much fun it is to explore your yard or shrubs with this truck. Hopefully they offer some other upgrades in the future.
