These remakes are amazing. The Suikoden series are some of my favorite games from my childhood. I was super excited when I heard about this, and reliving the stories of both games with modern updates was a great nostalgic experience.

Exactly as described, this game is a classic jRPG that allows the protagonist to recruit many different characters and form his own army and castle. Get it before this thing jumps in price along with the rest of the rare titles

I absolutely love the new remaster of these two classics. Suikoden has one of the best combat systems in JRPG history—simple, fast-paced, and deeply strategic. This remaster preserves everything that made the originals great: the same iconic sprites, backgrounds, and items, now beautifully enhanced in high resolution. And the music? Absolutely magnificent. The original soundtrack is intact, delivering that same emotional, sweeping score that made these games unforgettable. If you care about video games as an art form, support this remaster. My first JRPG love, a great game for old heads who like turn-based RPGs with 108 characters (that you dont have to gatcha for).

There's not much to write about Suikoden I & II that hasn't already been said. This is the starting point for one of the greatest RPG series of all time. One that I somehow only discovered shortly before this remaster was released. The remaster adds some great quality-of-life improvements to the original games alongside the remastered games themselves. If you are a JRPG fan of any age, do yourself a favor and become immersed in the world of these games right away. 100% worthy of a permanent space on your game shelf.

Just like I remember, not a ton of remastering. Could of been enhanced with audio dialog or some better graphics. Keeps old games charm but not quite ps5 level.

For the fans of the series it's a great gift to get to play these games again on the PS5. It's fun after all these years to revisit such a great game and even remember the storyline even after all this time.
