Perfect machine for home use
Purchased this for home use. I am pretty familiar with this product, as I work in the healthcare industry. It is easy to set up and use. What I like about this product is that the strips can be placed on the blood drop, allowing it to draw the blood up the strip. The calibration of the product is easy. For glucose, using the red liquid that comes with the product on the glucose straps, a small drop is more than enough for calibration. For ketone calibration, you are required to use the plastic strip, ensuring it's in off mode when inserted and then switch to on when the machine displays the blood drop. The only downside of this product is the needle pricks, as they can be quite painful due to the lack of a guard, which can result in the finger being pricked to the point of bleeding.

Reliable and Easy to Use
I’ve been using this ketone monitoring device for a couple of months now while on my keto diet, and it’s been really helpful for tracking my levels. The device is quick and reliable, with results coming through almost instantly. One feature I really appreciate is the built-in error messages. It won’t let you use it in the wrong conditions, such as when it’s too cold, which helps prevent false readings. The finger prick is relatively painless, and the bleeding stops within a second or two, making the process much easier than I expected. Overall, it’s a great tool for anyone following a keto diet who wants to keep a close eye on their ketone levels. It’s accurate, easy to use, and provides peace of mind.

Good standard product well priced.
NHS standard glucose monitoring with added benefit of ketone test. Bought this for work as being in the NHS/nurse they are thin on the ground in my clinic!!! Have to guard it with my life as they also walk :) but great that I have my own that's compatible with our protocols. Pity it has come to this but at the price it was very reasonable and tax deductible. I've used these for some time now and can recommend them for ease of use and accuracy.

Adequate
I bought a spare in case I broke the one provided by my GP - this isn't a model I would use had I the choice. The monitor is very basic and lacks a lot of features, but it does what it was designed to do pretty well. It mainly falls down on the compatible strips: they're not very forgiving and require a little more blood than more sophisticated products. I've lost count the number of times it failed When I was diagnosed, I was given a much nicer unit produced by a different company, but my GP surgery would not provide test strips for that monitor (most likely due to cost) and it being replaced with the GlucoRx monitor
