This was a BIG hit. Everyone was commenting on what a cool tie. He was definitely the talk of the party. The size was a perfect fit. The lights were bright. It was a fun way to celebrate the night!

I had to return this, not because I didn’t like it, but because my son didn’t end up wearing it for his school glow party. However, I wish he would have! It’s so cool and the light color is bright and would have looked great in pictures. The quality is very good and I think it would have lasted a long time.

It is not the brightest, but in a dim room it works perfect. Has two functions, a steady on and a flash pattern. Both work great and battery life is awesome

It's nothing particularly fancy. If you know where to get EL wire and a sound activated box you can make it on your own. It's a plain and cheap "no tie" tie with adjustable elastic and the wire is sewn to the edge of the tie with fishing wire (that looks a little odd in broad daylight, but at night in a party no one noticed it until I turn it on), you're really paying for the convenience of having it ready made. I swapped out the battery pack for one with 2 batteries (the tie comes with a single battery pack) which was a bit of a hassle because the included box has Velcro that keeps it hidden behind the tie, but the bigger one I put on sometimes wanted to peek out because nothing was holding it in place. I changed it because I didn't want to risk running out of juice in the dance floor (in hindsight I should've just brought an extra battery with me and use the included box). I also got a pair of glasses to match. They were both a big hit and responded to the music as expected. Like most sound activated boxes it comes with a dial so you can control how sensitive it will be (in a dance floor this is necessary or you'll tie will blink constantly, defeating the purpose of the sound activated effect, until you find the sweet spot. My one complaint is that because the tie is folded in half in the box, the wires tended to try to return to that shape and kept trying to fold the tie in half. I used the (included) tie clip to force it to stay in place and though it looked a bit crooked at times it worked alright.

The size for this tie is perfect for adults, I'm 5'10" and as the photos show it's about the same size of a regular tie. Comes coiled in a very well protected box so you need to straighten it out when ready to use, includes a tie clip, requires 1xAAA battery (not included). Lights up perfectly in a dark environment, had it on all night and the LEDs didn't dim. It has two modes, Always ON and alternating on/off but there is no way to set the frequency so I used it ON. I got compliments from everyone at the party, from young and older, from guests to employees of the event. Great conversation starter. Highly recommended to stand out at any party.

It works as advertised, decent blue illumination on the tie when turned on. Just a couple of things i didn't like about it: -battery pack on the back is kind of clunky and large. maybe if it was designed to use smaller batteries it could be more discrete. -the LED tubing is kind of stiff so when it's sent to you folded in half in the package, the bend in the tubing is kind of permanent, you can't really straighten the tie out. There is a big crease in the middle of the tie that i wasn't able to straighten. Otherwise it's fine. Wore it to a costume party as part of a daft punk outfit and people were pleasantly surprised by it.

Easy to setup and put on, very comfortable and it’s literally a hit! Was at family members funeral and I was in the presence of over 200 people and literally just about every person made a comment about how they loved my tie! No brainer!

As others have said, the tie looks pretty rough in lighting; the cord is visible, fabric is cheap, and tie is permanently curved no matter how much I tug it, and the battery pack is clunky. The WORST part by far however is the battery pack emits a quite loud, high pitched beep the ENTIRE time it is turned on. Unless I’m at a loud party to drown out the loud beep, I wouldn’t even bother. I haven’t worn it out once because the beep is so irritating. It does look cool in the dark though and I wish I could wear it.
