I love the mesh on the door itself, but I needed something to cover the mesh during the winter and summer. These are so easy to put on the dog door! You just slide them into the tracks on the door. It's that easy! I love that they're a thick plastic and not glass because that means you don't have to worry about them breaking. The acrylic feels sturdy and it's thick, so I definitely feel like it does a good job of keeping the cold and hot air out. When its new, it comes with a protective film!
