This is very much a budget cooler with good performance. After applying the correct amount of thermal paste, repositioning the fans in my case to blow air out the top and front, I am idling between 37-40 c. It does great at idle and during light loads, loading up some 4k high on Battlefield 6, and it hits as high as 73c on an AMD 9700X. I don't think you can ask more of a sub $40 cooler. UPDATE: I just swapped out the stock fans with three, that's right three, Noctua Redux 120mm fans and idle temps have dropped by 2-3 degrees (35c at idle)! The Noctua fans spin 200 rpm faster at peak and push about 10 more CFM and are quieter. I think performance and value with this setup is a better cooler for your dollar than Noctua's own flagships.
