SPF25-15ml | Pocket-Sized Mineral Sun Cream with Organic Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Beeswax & Zinc Oxide

I'm allergic to mainstream brands of sunscreen so this is a little gem find for me. Made from simple ingredients it's much kinder to your skin than applying all those unpronounceable chemicals in regular sunscreens. I apply it to myself and my children and we are all very fair skinned. It protects efficiently, just be careful to check your sun exposure until you find out for yourself how much protection it gives for you. It hasn't got a high sunscreen "factor", but it's simple enough to just reapply as you need to. Having been used to sunscreen in a lotion format it was strange at first opening a tin and seeing a solid looking paste inside. When the weather is warmer it melts and applies easier. If you are using it for skiing weather you just need to warm it a little in your hand before applying. It's not difficult to apply as it melts on contact with your skin and then spreads quite easily. At first I was applying way too much in quite a thick layer, but I later found this wasn't necessary. This cream is effective as long as you make sure you've applied it properly ( like any sunscreen). I actually got a patch of sunburn in a small patch I'd missed on my arm, so I knew the cream had been effective in protecting the rest of me. It doesn't smell like a regular sun cream as it is unscented , but has its own light pleasant smell - like baby zinc oxide cream. I love the option of the handy pocket sized small size tin to carry around. The large size though is better value and is still slim enough to slip into a bag.

Natural Sunscreen with SPF 25 - offers good sun protection when careful with application and reapplied as needed. I have bought this Shade sunscreen a few times and will definitely buy it again. It is very portable in the tin, no worries about liquid spillage. Easy to apply, may leave a white residual on the skin but that is just the zinc oxide which provides the protection. It does have a scent to it, which my partner did not like but as my sense of smell is non existent, it did not bother me at all. I will take that over chemical filled sunscreen. Lasted me 7 days on holiday this year.

Used on African Holiday. Worked wonderfully. Its a chemical free, natural sunscreen aha really works!! The tin contains a solid white cream that is fragrance free. It was hot where i was so it was smooth to apply but I imagine in colder weather (ski resorts etc) you might need to rub the surface a little to warm it up. I was worried that the oils and butters would have been to greasy for my face but i was fine and suffered no breakouts as a result of using it (though when in the UK my skin tends to be on the drier side, so if you have oily skin test it out first). I have darker skin so I found that this does leave a whitish/ grey residue- due to the non- nano zinc, fair skin may not experience this problem. However, I found that this can be minimised in 2 ways; 1) Exfoliate your skin before using it. I found out this works by accident. After 2 days of grey tinge on my face (i looked as though i was getting ready for some kind of tribal ceremony), on the third day I applied the screen after I had washed my face with a face scrub and I found the product was able to absorb into my skin much better, so there was really very little whiteness left behind. 2) Use the screen 20-30 mins before you are ready to go out. I found that after this time, the whitishness faded. esp. when the weather was very hot. And don't be put off by the size, it lasts for ages! I was away for 3 weeks and still have 80% left (just me using it). I love the fact that there are no nasty chemicals and so few ingredients. It is not fragranced I got no burnt bits and no heat rash and this was in 34 degree heat!! I would recommend reapplying if you plan to swim or if you sweat a lot but i did not do either of these things and only applied twice per day and was fine. I would definitely recommend.

I was looking for a sunscreen that didn't contain harmful chemicals and found the organic shade all natural sunscreen. I used this sunscreen last summer and will only be using this sunscreen from now on. It contains just 4 ingredients, coconut oil, beeswax, shea butter and zinc oxide. The coconut oil gives the sunscreen a sweet smell, the beeswax I presume is to help adhere the sunscreen to the skin, the shea butter is very moisturising on the skin and the zinc oxide reflects the suns rays away from the skin. I wanted a mineral sunscreen, not a chemical one, and one where the zinc oxide was non nano. This one does not contain nano zinc oxide as there are many articles on the safety of nano zinc oxide because of their small size. Yes, you do need to rub this sunscreen in for a little longer and at first it will leave a white tint to the skin but if you keep rubbing it in this will disappear and it smells great. I have oily skin and was wary about applying it to my face incase it brought me out in spots but it didn't. It is made in the UK and is not tested on animals. A great alternative to the mass produced chemical sunscreens with questionable ingredients.

Was very excited for the arrival if this.. but upon opening the product was totally solid! Even tho it was a warm day. Just about managed to scrape some off with a spoon.. VERY difficult to apply evenly even after warming in my hands … and very white when eventually applied. Very disappointing! And can’t return as I have scraped a bit off.. just.

A great product, natural ingredients, and children have not burnt in the hot holiday sunshine. 3 stars as the price has doubled, and the quantity you get for such a price tag may not justify it. If you can afford it, however, then I do recommend it!

Esta bien xq no contiene toxicos ni disruptores, eso si, es pastosa, yo la llevo en el coche y del calor se ablanda pero si la tienes en casa hasta cuesta coger, deja blanco pero las que no dejan son las toxicas asi que bien

Even though it’s a small can it goes goes a long way. Make sure to store it not too cold it’s easier to apply if it’s warm. Otherwise you get little chunks on your face and the white colour of it shows.
