I have found the need for a shorter, stouter strap like this WAY more often than the longer, stronger varieties. I'm not a professional rescue driver or anything, but I'm a country boy from Louisiana who keeps tow straps, log chains, tractor jumper cables, traction boards, and various shackles and rigging equipment in my truck's tool-box for getting myself and others out of sticky situations. I even picked up an extreme duty 40' X 4" 47K lb. tow strap for pulling just about anything out of a bind a few years ago. But despite my level of preparedness, I have found that a lighter duty 8' tow strap with soft loops just like this will see way more use in various situations than anything else. You don't always need 20 feet of stretchy strap to yank someone out of a mudhole. Much of the time, all you need is a gentle tug, and you're back in business. Great product, great price.

Holds an engine block, tows my truck. It works

Straps like this are nice for wrapping around trees to prevent damaging them of you need to use one as an anchor while winching a truck out of the mud. But it's also nice for pulling a car out of a snow bank. Sometimes you want a nice long one while other times you just need a short one. I would call this one short.It's small enough so it doesn't take up much room. The ends are folded over so it easily slides into a 2" hitch where you can use the 5/8" pin to hold it. It also has an extra layer of material to protect the strap's loops.

Perhaps I mistakenly ordered this thinking I was getting the longer version but this 8ft. strap is somewhat limited for my use. HOWEVER, the strap appears to be VERY WELL MADE!! It is stiff and thick with heavy stitching. It looks to be stronger than my vehicle tie down straps for my enclosed car trailer. I'm quite sure that the longer versions of this strap would be very serviceable given my observations of this one.

For all those times you need to give 20,000 lbs of pull on something, here's the strap that claims to handle it! While I have no way to test this level of pull ability, it surely appears to have the construction needed to do so. With loops at each end, there's plenty of possibilities for attachment to whatever needs pullin' on. I could find nothing to have a gripe about, so 5 stars it gets.

I've wanted one of these for quite a while, ordered this one, and I was not disappointed when it arrived.This one is 2" x 20 feet long. The loop ends are sown, reinforced nicely, and doubled up so they're about an inch wide.I added a clevis hook on one end to make it more versatile and a Velcro strap to keep it from unrolling.I'm going to put this in my pickup so if someone needs a tow, I'll use this. This is much better than the chain I used before- won't scratch, lighter, and just as strong.

This strap is perfect to keep in emergency kits for light cars and trucks. It takes up very little space and has enough strength to pull most light vehicles out of sticky situations. A very reasonable price for a well made nylon strap, I recommend purchasing one for every vehicle you own.
