i was surprised that this one is advertised for cameras. The fact is that, it can! The only assembly was attaching the tilt head to the main body. When packed, this thing under 19" in length, which is very compact. There are separate screw locking mechanisms for horizontal and vertical tilt. One feature i look for is the horizontal tile and this tripod works well in this area. For the vertical tilt, make sure to lock it TIGHT especially if you have a DSLR camera as it can drop. The compact tripod includes a hidden phone holder in case you want to film with a smart phone, a very neat feature! There's a part that allow you to increase the height with the main stick (not sure what that's called) when using a phone, and it can go above my chest (I am 5-5). However, not the case with DSLR camera, You want to use the "stick" as support when mounting a DSLR camera, in which case it will be below chest height. To attach to DSLR camera, it has a thumb screw attached to the tripod that you turn the screw into the camera. This is a plateless design so no quick release. I really like the tripod and I think it's great for phone shooting and as a backup for my DSLR camera video shoots.

I bought this tripod to make photos and videos easier. Whether I'm trying to jump in a timed photo or making a crafty video, my hands can be free. It comes with a very nice traveling case with attached handle and drawstring accessory. The tripod itself is very lightweight and compactable which is ideal for traveling. It takes a minute at the most to set up. The clamp that holds your device is easily tucked away into the toggle handle. Both sides of the clamp are adjustable and are designed with silicone / rubber grippers. So it ain't going nowhere. Once you get it at your desired angle/position you can lock it into place for no wiggles. An easy turn of the wrist at the base of the tripod will allow you to just adjust its heights and lock it into place as well. It also has a level built in, which is very unique and very handy. And then you have the back platform at the top with a screw, I'm guessing for additional accessories like a light or microphone. This is already come in handy for crafting/reptile videos. Very happy with my order and I would highly recommend this to anyone

En general el trípode es tal cual como indica la descripción, el tamaño es súper portátil. Lo único que no me agradó es que sean las patas delgadas. Recién lo probaré en exteriores y haber si soporta vientos fuertes.

Portátil, liviano y cómodo, pero no es para equipos robustos es más bien para temas muy ligeros, posiblemente un smartphone

I was skeptical at first at the weight and sturdiness but it proved me wrong. This TARION Squorpion really does stand up and will do much of what I need. For me it will be handy on hikes, walking and even bicking and goes where I would not normally take a more heavy tripod. Surprising how flexible it is with allowing me to use both phone and mirrorless cameras for your pictures. I also liked how the handle serves for both camera and camera phone mount. I was surprised how stable it was when I put my fairly heavy macro lens, that in itself makes it a big plus. Pan and tilt is very smooth which makes it nice for video. Made with aluminum and painted a nice black it not only looks good but will be impervious to weather. Over the long haul it will be useful and help with photography by bringing a tripod where one might wish to.

Cheap budget tripod. Works fine if you never extend the legs! I'll probably just donate it to someone.

I have owned several other lightweight compact tripods and I like this one the best. It folds up very small - in fact, it's so compact that when I opened the box I thought for a second I had ordered a monopod by accident. I like the shape of the leg locks and the way they curve around the frame - it's very fast to lock and unlock these to extend and stow the legs quickly, which is nice when you need to set up or break down your gear in a hurry. The bracket for holding your phone works really well and also folds up very small (other tripods I've owned have a bulky and annoying camera clamp that you have to remove to pack the tripod in a bag or case). The included carry bag is very nice - it has a shorter handle-type strap, not a long shoulder strap, which is perfect for me but might not work if you want or need a shoulder strap.
