This clipper blade platform fits Wahl Arco clippers. It requires TORX to disassemble the blade. Measures 1-4/5-inch length by 1/2-inch height by 1-4/5-inch width.

You need a T9 star, needle nose pliers, and patience. Toggle not included.
The clippers work great for a battery powered item. They are light weight and cost is very affordable. That said, try and not drop them. I did and it broke the plastic clip that holds the blade on the unit. $8 is a great fix. Easy IF you are patient. The screws are in snug and the T9 star is small, so easy to strip the only star tool that will work. Snug it up and firmly turn counter clockwise (for those who wouldn’t know). They are snug because as they go in, they ream into the plastic sleeve, remember that when you re-insert into the new plate. Needle nose pliers worked for me to pull the metal clips out of the blade. Careful, the blade may jump out. The hardest thing for me, was putting those dang metal clips back into the holes and holding the blade in piece. Easiest way to replace the metal back to the new blade holder, is to put 1 screw in, a couple of turns, remember it will take some pressure as it’s reaming the threads in for a firm seating. Turn the blade to put the 2nd screw in...before you do, double check you placed the blade toggle back. You will need a T9 star screw driver tip.Needle nose pliers are handy to have.It does not come with the back adjustment toggleI’d buy this again, I’d recommend this to a friend. My biggest concern, where would I buy that toggle switch if that broke?

It works
I was so pissed when the plastic platform broke on my Wahl Arco SE trimmer. I agree with the reviews that say it’s a crappy design to use plastic for this blade platform. Thank God, they sell this platform separately. You’ll definitely need a T9 Star bit as other reviewers have stated in order to unscrew your old platform and then use those screws in your new platform. Make sure you get the right size bit so you don’t strip your screws. It took a little patience and a set of locking vice grips to keep the blade on the platform when you are screwing it in. I took some pictures of the old platform attached to the blade before I disassembled it so I could look back at them for reference when I was screwing the new platform onto the blade. I noticed that the new platform doesn’t sit as securely on the trimmer frame as well as the original factory platform and it comes loose on its own frequently. All in all, I’m happy that I could save my Wahl Arco trimmer.

Should not have to purchase a platform for a poorly designed blade
I'm saying "BS" on having to purchase this platform replacement at all! I dropped a blade, broke the black PLASTIC piece that holds the blade to the clipper so purchased this PLASTIC platform replacement piece. Does NOT fit back together properly no matter how tight I tighten the screws (that required a special screw driver I had to purchase just for this task).Just dropped another blade today. Yes, the black PLASTIC platform broke again.BOTTOM LINE: if Wahl wants to sell clipper blades for $30, they should find a way to make their blades more sturdy to withstand dropping the clipper. I'm clipping dogs that tend to move around. Dropping your clipper is something, I'm sure, all of us have done. Or another idea for Wahl: design your blades to attach to the clipper in a way they don't fly off and BREAK when dropped.

Almost perfect
After I purchased the clippers, I was rushing between clients and dropped my relatively “new clippers” on the floor. The blades were still in tact but the blade assembly/housing wouldn’t attach due to the “small” plastic piece, at the back of the attachment, used to hold it on the clipper, broke off. I searched around and found that no one sold this part but the Andis company itself. It was a little too expensive for my tastes at the time because Repairing the clipper didn’t require new blades, just the bracket. I didn’t want to have blades lying around causing clutter. So, after a long wait for this particular replacement part to become available for purchase, I found it and ordered it. The part arrived on time and as specified. Attaching the blades was simple enough and pretty straight forward. However, after replacing the blades I noticed that the edge of the moving (bottom) blade rested in front of the still blade (top blade) which causes discomfort (via scratches and welts) when the blades are closed all the way. I’m a professional barber and that’s not good for business. These are my balding clippers so I use the edgers for clean up after I’ve used this clipper, or any clipper, to bald out. It works, maybe not exactly like they did before but, the clipper itself is back in rotation and I use it a lot. The new part allows it to function without the additional cost of the plastic bracket and blades. I switch through the settings with relative ease and I use all but the lowest setting for the reasons I described. So, overall I this part works for my needs and I no longer have a clipper I like to have in my arsenal, in my drawer, gathering dust. I would give it a 5 star review if not for the small adjustment issue…

Inexpensive, but fragile.
It's exactly what we were looking for, and at a price I can't complain about, but I wouldn't have needed to buy replacements in the first place if the build quality had been better. My girlfriend is a dog groomer and uses this clipper quite a bit during work. Unfortunately, during her line of work she has to deal with some rowdy animals who seriously don't enjoy being shaved. Those clippers are going to take a tumble from time to time, and there's not much you can do about it! Sadly, this particular piece breaks regularly when this happens. It is only held on by a tiny little plastic clip, and that has been the point of failure every time. The clippers themselves haven't been damaged, fortunately, but we keep a small stock of replacement heads on standby just in case.At least they're inexpensive!

Back in Action - Perfect Repair
This part fit perfectly to replace the one that had a broken mounting tab. After studying for just a few moments, it was obvious how to install it and it fit perfectly. The $100+ shaver is back in action without having to replace the whole thing. I thought maybe the price was 25% or so too high but whatever. Problem solved.

Fixed and works as advertised.
Works exactly as advertised. The silly design of the razor makes these things break down easily with just a minor drop (which is how mine broke). I’m glad this was here so I could replace it instead of buying a whole new razor.

Not easy to find unless you want to buy a new blade.
After talking to other groomers and show handlers I am glad that I made this purchase. It sure is a lot better than getting to the show and finding out that your blade platform got broken in transit or some one has knocked it off of the grooming table and snapped the blade off. When you replace it be sure that you look at the old one first so that you get it on right.(should have bought 3 more at Amazon's price)
