How long can I keep them in storage

Thank you for contacting Gardeners Basics about how long you can store our Seed Vault Kits! First and foremost, you need to keep the heirloom seeds dry and sealed inside our mylar bag.  This will prevent them from receiving any moisture.  Second, keep them in a cool dark place like a refrigerator, freezer, or fruit cellar. We recommend that you replace your Survival Vegetable Garden every 10 years, but some seeds will still germinate after a 25 year shelf life!  What happens is that the germination rate decreases a little each year, so the fresher the vegetable seeds, the better.
