I was skeptical that this would clear up our kitchen drain, but I was really pleased with the results. A plumber had recently run a snake 40 feet down the drain to clear up a total clog, but after 2 weeks the drain became slow again. I was ready to call in the plumber again, but decided to try this product. I poured down half the bottle (2quarts) and let it sit overnight. The next morning, I poured down several pots of boiling water and happily the sink emptied out with a nice spinning vortex as it drained. I will use this for preventative maintenance to keep things clear in the future…

This was a stubborn clog in the kitchen sink. I used an extra long plunger to try to clear the drain. I could hear the water moving in the drain but it would not clear. After dumping 2 gallons of a similar product it still was not going away. So, there i was plunging my little heart out. I left and came back an hour later and the sink was clear. I turned on the water and sure enough, it stopped up again. I did that all day. It stunk up my whole apartment. It wasn't until the drain cleared enough to pour down a whole gallon and leave it overnight. Next morning the odor was gone and the drain clear. It made me think that this problem has been going on for awhile. I just did not notice because it did drain, just slowly. now, I am on a mission to use this at least once a month to sit in the pipes to let the enzymes work.

I picked up Green Gobbler Enzyme Drain Cleaner because our kitchen sink was starting to smell a little funky and draining slower than normal. I didn’t want anything super harsh, so I liked that this uses enzymes instead of strong chemicals. It was really easy to use, just pour it in and let it do its thing. After a couple uses, the bad odor was basically gone and the drain definitely seemed to run smoother. It didn’t completely fix a heavy clog, but for grease buildup and smells, it worked better than I expected. I’m giving it 4 stars because it takes some patience and works best with regular use, not as an instant miracle fix. Overall, it’s a solid product for maintenance and keeping drains fresh, and I’d buy it again.

Bought this because I had 2 bathroom sinks where the overflow drains were partially clogged. Water would drain, but slowly and we would get a very nasty odor from them every time you drained the sink. The solution smells very nice, but I can't say it's working for my situation. I've been pouring some in every night before bed and running water through in the morning, but there is still debris in there along with the awful smell. This stuff probably works best on 100% clogs, where it can pool and do it's job.

I live in an old apartment building with old pipes. The drains get slow. I had a clog emerging in my shower, which in the past has required a plumber, which is a real hassle. I'd had some other enzyme treatment that I used but I don't really know what it did... quite honestly I'm not sure if it did anything. By contrast, a half cup of this absolutely nuked the clog in a few hours. The instructions bottle suggested putting more in to really get the lines cleaned so I'll treat it for a few more days and then do all the drains once a month.

We have bought this product several times. Our plumber recommended it for drain maintenance. My sink can smell, especially during the hot months of summer. Now we just use this every once in a while and I don't have much of an issue. After a hefty plumbing bill, I am very careful what goes in my garbage disposal or down my drains. I have used the Green Gobbler for a minor clog and it worked, but I mostly use it for odor control and basic drain maintenance.
