He's an older dog that developed an allergy to fleas, so I keep him shaved. Without his thick hair, he gets cold easily. The crate cover keeps the draft from our air conditioner from making him cold. Also, he has front shoulder and leg joint issues. The gel memory foam has really helped reduce stiffness and improved his mobility. Overall, both of these products have improved his quality of life. The bed is well-made. When searching for a decent bed that fit our extra-large crate for our German Shepherd pup we found similar products at considerably higher prices for just the bed. We were able to buy this bed and the blanket for less than the bed alone anywhere else. We were surprised to find it such good quality and thicker than expected. Xena loved it too. Unfortunately after a few days she decided to see what was on the inside and tore it up pretty good.
