Very good miso in paste form, a little salty but full of flavour Good base sauce for adding to noodles for an umami hit

Now, dear reader, as a lazy sod, this is a damn good meal. Boil some stock (skim that nasty foam from the top too), cook your noodles, and then bung some of this paste in, and some tofu if you're feeling fancy. Now, often, the red miso paste may not need the help, but this lovely yellow stuff does. For me, a medium strength vegetable stock and a dash of soy is enough here, and it's mellow enough that it doesn't destroy the flavour of anything else you add. The box arrived damaged, but do I care? I bloody well don't.

I really like this miso paste. It’s so easy to use, convenient and cheap as well. Used in a lot of Japanese dishes it’s also great as a base for soup. It has a nice mellow taste.
