I decided to purchase because my sprinklers went out in my garden. I tend to forget to water and thought, why not. I decided to put this next to my summer squash, one by my cucumbers and one in my peppermint pot. We'll during the summer everything still thrived as in addition when I watered, I would fill these up. The peppermint did ok, but I think it's because of the heat and not because of this. I decided to purchase another set and prep my garden again with these. You can't see it sticking out so looks hidden in the garden and hasn't broken, so it's nice and thick. These ollas really help release moisture gradually in my veggie garden, which is a problem living in the desert SW. I do not have an automatic watering system (too expensive to install), so this helps encourage plants to root deeper and get the water down there.
