I bought this item recently and it specifies also a tennis net. I can't seem to convert the net into a tennis net. How do you do this?

I had to use the hole net not sure about your question but I wouldn’t think you would be able to shorten it

It looks like there's a metal bar that dips down in the middle. How come?

No. Not metal. Just a cord. It’s a good net.
