I have 2 of these LG washers and i replaced one pump a few years ago. The second one has a noisy pump so i ordered this one to repair the noisy pump. Its easy 30 minute job if you tip the machine to the rear to access the pump from the bottom. Two hoses, 2 screws from the front, one from the bottom where the pump slides onto the bottom mount, and three screws to secure the motor to the pump assembly. The new pump motor is quiet and smooth. Its a inexpensive repair tha TV most handy folk can do. I highly recommend this part.

Okay drain pump

My washer drain pump went bad and I found this on Amazon. It was a perfect fit and replacement and seems to work well. It was easy to install.

We got this to replace the drain pump in our washing machine. This did the job! I can wash clothes again (thank God..I have 4 kids and 5 animals and a blue collar husband). It works as expected and my husband installed it quickly.

This product is not OEM as described nor was it a perfect fit for LG WM8100HVA. I had to cut part of the washer's housing to make it fit. I had to use it because I had the washer taken a part and the customer was waiting for the fix.

This pump is the "new" replacement - 4681EA2001T. It is different. The frame on the impeller side is larger and fatter. When the pump is placed in the carrier it will not fit. The lock tabs on the carrier do not lock in. It split the carrier. I had to use a cutter and remove the inside spacers and remove the lock tabs. The washer is working fine but I should not have had to make so many homemade fixes to get it to install.

This 4681EA2001T Washer Drain Pump from Surephon works, but it is NOT an exact match or fit to the original part for my LG Washer/Dryer Combo (model WM3997HWA). As other reviews have noted, to re-assemble the machine with this pump, you may have to make modifications.For installation on the LG machine I have, there is a separate, white, plastic housing that fits over the drain pump. My attached picture is actually from the Seller's listing, so you can see the pump and the white housing. Note, the pump in the installation pictures is NOT the pump that you'll actually receive!The housing (Part 'B' in the picture) does NOT fit over the Surephon pump unless you modify the white housing or the black plastic case of the pump. This is because the black plastic case on the pump is actually much bigger than what's was used on the original pump (and the pump shown in the Seller's installation pictures). You can see what the actual black casing looks like in the Seller's other photos of their pump. Where the arrow marked 'A' is in my picture, the black case of the Surephon pump comes much farther past that silver metal element of the pump.To make the pump fit, I chose to modify the white plastic housing and used a sharp folding pocketknife to carefully cut away at the front of it (where the arrow marked 'B' is in the picture). This allowed it enough room to actually fit over the pump case. I also had to cut off a small part on the edge of the tab on the housing where the screw is inserted (which holds it to the pump).All of that said, once installed, the Surephon pump does work. But these pumps seem to be very cheaply made and/or they're just poorly designed. They break frequently and quickly, no matter who you buy from. The original pump on my machine lasted about 4 years, the first replacement pump I bought lasted just under 3 years, the second replacement lasted 13 months, and now I'm on to Surephon. Fingers crossed I get more than a year out of it.
