This is realist Batana oil I’ve encountered. Smell is very strong, almost like burnt tobacco and coffee smell 🫶🏼 That’s one of the ways you can tell it’s real! 👌🏼

Works great. Smell is nice. Softens hair , improves hair strength. Noticeable growth. Dissolves easily.

This wasn’t a two-pack of 4oz containers, and the title needs to be adjusted because I was very confused when I only received one 4oz container. Other than that, this smells like real batana oil. It has a nutty, roasted—almost burnt coffee smell, which is quite strong at first, then mellows out to a smoky scent; think charcoal grill. I haven’t tried it on my hair yet, but I did a test swipe on my leg, and the level of sheen and softness of my skin that followed was amazing. The skin I applied it on still feels smooth hours later. The oil is solid at room temperature, like softened butter, and is silky when melted. It absorbs into the skin very easily and quickly, and doesn’t leave a greasy film. All in all, I’m very happy this is the real deal and the price is competitive with other AUTHENTIC products. The only reason it isn’t 5 stars is because of the misleading title.

I bought 3 brands that says orginal organic and 100%....etc I would say this is the one that really feels raw and unrefined!

This stuff smells AWFUL. I couldn't even keep the jar open for more than a few seconds without gagging. I know sky organics has some occasional issues with QC (every once in a while I'll get a bad container of shea etc) so I wouldn't be surprised if this were the case for me but, wow, was it *bad*. Tossed it and probably will stick with my other sky organic products and skip this one. idk.

So happy I found this product! My sister-in-law lived in Honduras and raves about how Batana oil is the best to keep your hair and scalp healthy. It’s been hard to find except on Amazon and she warned me that a lot of the products there are fake or at least not made like the batana oil in Honduras. This one has the rich color and slightly Smokey scent which she said to look for. I’ve been using to oil my scalp and hair at night, then washing out in the morning. Just once a week for now. It’s too thick to leave in during the day. My husband doesn’t love the smell, but I kind of like it. Regardless, I also wouldn’t want the scent on me during the day. But that’s just me. My SIL has really curly hair that gets dry and frizzy. She likes to use it during the day too. She said all her friends in Honduras use it this way — and in their elbows and hands too, to keep them moisturized.

It was soft and messy all over. I have not tried it. It was not sealed either. The cap ideas also very messy. Disappointed. I hope it works for the hair.

If you are buying the more popular one, STOP! There is no way this is real. It takes forever to melt. But this right here is the real deal. Used it the first month and saw a significant amount of growth. Looks, smells and melts like the real thing.
