Can this used for dental (wisdom teeth removal) bleeding?

How long will this stay "good" in storage before it's not usable?

Each sealed package has a date on it for optimum performance, as long as the package integrity is maintained you should be good to go. Keep in mind, your storage will influence the life of the product. As an example, I have one in my go-bag in the trunk of my car, it sees hot and cold fluctuations, the date is 11/24, but I'll replace it a year earlier. If you keep it in a cool/dry temperature controlled medicine cabinet, you are good to go! p2-services.

Is this the same as the old 50g version rated to stop arterial bleeds?

No. You’re thinking of the 25 and 50 gram sponges? This is an impregnated gauze package.

Does this replace the quikclot advanced clotting sponge?

No, it doesn't replace the sponge. After first cleaning the wound, use the sponge with light pressure. Then apply the gauze, folded over IF there's still considerable bleeding, or just wrapped around if the sponge was enough to stop the bleeding. But you want to have both on hand, since you can't wrap a sponge around a wound which has stopped bleeding but may resume later on.
