Solgar Vitamin B1 (Thiamin) 500 mg Tablets - Pack of 100 - Supports Energy Metabolism and Nervous System - Vegan

I use this mainly for my speech impediment but it makes me more alert and awake. I don’t get many bug bites either whilst I’m abroad, apparently this vitamin does this. The brand is super well known so I know they aren’t made from bad ingredients. The smell is of course awful, but you don’t chew these so all is good. They’re kind of big so if you struggle with swallowing tablets then you may have a problem.

started taking these to help problems with mosquitos on holiday as I'm going to asia in October so have been taking these for a month now they are supposed to change your body smell so you become less attracted by mosquitos I will let you know later if it works but I have noticed a improvement in my energy levels I'm not getting so run down even in our hot weather so on just that they are worth taking I think

The tablets are just as stated. They're quite large and might pose difficulty for some people when swallowing, but I had no problems with that. I bought them because of some research showing that thiamine can reduce stammering and blocking, but I've felt no effect. I rather felt oddly scatter-minded and got a persistent headache after a few days of taking these together with magnesium (as recommended by the research), with no other changes in my lifestyle. To be fair, the research did state that for some people, thiamine can actually worsen stammering, and for some it doesn't have any effects. It was worth a try though. Regarding the product itself, there's nothing to complain about; the quality is very good.

The 5 stars are for those who only go to the 5 star reviews. But you deserve to hear why it is really a NEGATIVE REVIEW. I received this med on Sunday, Sept.15,2024 and took my first dosage that evening with a meal. I have neuropathy and fibromyalgia and am already seeing symptoms changing for the good after two days. I WON'T BUY IT AGAIN THOUGH AND I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN FINISH IT. I woke the morning after taking the first dosage to really bad urine smell. I thought all I needed to do was drink lots of water during the day and that side effect would go away. It did not. Second day, still the same, so I know this is what I get until it's gone or I quit taking it because I can't stand it anymore. If I wasn't seeing any benefits already I would throw it away now, but I do so I will hold out as long as I can. I got online to find odorless Thiamine and would you believe it - I found a list and guess what was on it - you got it, this product was listed providing an Amazon link. IT IS NOT ODORLESS AMAZON.. Amazon is wrong on this one. Hopefully they will follow up and make sure they take this product OFF of any internet ODORLESS THIAMINE list. If you are a man, maybe you don't care if your urine stinks, so take it. If you are a woman and are in a public restroom you may want to put an atomizer of cologne in your purse. The smell is not lingering at all, but for just a minute or half of a minute you may be embarassed should another female be in the next stall. Just saying - keeping it real!
