Freezer Ice Blocks (6 Pack) - Reusable Cooling Packs for Cooler Bags

Perfect, I put three in my lunch bag but I could do two, keeps it cold until lunch and still chill afterwards, nice little size to fit in the freezer and light to carry around, seem pretty strong, put them horizontal or they'll freeze odd little lumps in them but they straighten out when they're unfrozen again.

Good quality cooler packs nice size and great value for the amount you get 6 pack .

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars First Impressions Six small freezer blocks arrive in a compact package, each in a different colour from what appears to be a standard multicolour assortment. The colour coding serves a genuinely practical purpose: it allows different blocks to be assigned to different bags or users without ambiguity. The blocks are pre-sealed, requiring no water filling or preparation beyond placing them in the freezer for the recommended period before use. At the package weight of 440 grams for the set, each individual block is light enough that six of them add minimal burden to a lunch bag. Build Quality and Materials The plastic casing is thin but not obviously fragile, and the sealed gel interior feels uniformly distributed without any air pockets or bulges suggesting a manufacturing defect. The food-grade materials claim is consistent with the intended use in direct contact with food and drink, and no chemical odour is detectable from the gel even when the blocks are frozen. The seams appear solidly formed with no visible weak points at the corners or edges. A small number of reviewers in the broader pool mention durability concerns after extended use, suggesting the plastic shell can eventually develop stress fractures, though this was not observed within the evaluation period and appears to represent a minority experience rather than a systematic defect. The mini size designation is accurate and should be understood literally: these are compact blocks suited to lunch boxes and small insulated bags rather than large cool boxes. At least one reviewer notes surprise at the dimensions, which is a reminder that the listed packaging dimensions of approximately 11 by 8 by 7.5 centimetres for all six together give an accurate indication of scale. The product title does describe these as mini, and buyers expecting larger blocks for a family cool box would be better served by the large blue variant or a different product entirely. Performance in Use Frozen overnight and placed directly into a standard insulated lunch bag alongside food and a chilled drink, the blocks maintained a noticeably cool interior temperature for a working day of approximately seven hours, with the contents remaining acceptably cold rather than achieving the deep chill of a dedicated cooler box. This is a realistic and appropriate expectation for a product of this size and format. For insulin storage during transit, a use case mentioned by one reviewer, the blocks proved adequate when used in a small dedicated medical cool bag. For breast milk storage during a short period away from a fridge, similarly positive results were noted. The blocks freeze solidly within four to five hours and return to ambient temperature within three to four hours of use, making them practical for daily rotation without requiring overnight freezing each time once a routine is established. Shortcomings The mini format, whilst ideal for its primary application, limits versatility for users who need sustained cooling of a larger volume over a longer period. The cooling duration, whilst adequate for a standard lunch period, will not maintain safe food temperatures through an entire day in high summer heat without an insulated container of reasonable quality. The product page does not specify the gel composition, which is a minor but not critical information gap for most buyers. Suitability and Value At £4.99 for six blocks, this represents exceptional value for a daily-use product. The set is well suited to school lunchboxes, work lunch bags, picnic hampers, and short-duration medical cold storage. Those needing extended cooling for outdoor events, camping, or travel would require the larger format or a higher-capacity alternative. Closing Verdict A sensibly priced, well-made, and practically useful set of freezer blocks that occupies its market position without overclaiming. The mini size is exactly what the listing describes and performs precisely as expected within that remit. Four stars because the durability evidence across the wider review pool introduces a small question mark about longevity, but for everyday lunch box use this is a reliable and thoroughly reasonable purchase.

Small and efficenct they fulfil a multitude of tasks and are unobtrusive and sparce saving in intimate settings and WE recommend them for when things get steamy

Excellent purchase. I bought these freezer bricks to put in freezer hold alls when I was replacing my fridge freezer and needed to keep the food frozen they worked a treat . I also used them in a smaller holder to bring my beautiful little cats insulin home from the vets. They are very durable and versatile. The colour is fine and they are easy to transport out of doors. They fit nicely into outer bags and are easy to use and store.

Great buy, perfect size and quality.

Took a while to arrive but will do the job

Helped save my frozen food when I left the freezer door ajar overnight. Great for shopping with my cooler bag
