Nice Sub for a small room
I have this setup using the high level inputs from my Linn Majik integrated amplifier, which doesn't have a subwoofer output. I use the high level outputs from the sub to my two satellite bookshelf speakers. These are Audioengine P4s which do not have much bass below 250hz. I have the crossover set to 120hz, and the volume level at about 2:00.Sound: Bass is clean, however in my small room it took some adjustment of the location a few times to get bass that didn't cause lots of nulls in the room. (10x13 room). It behaves nicely against one wall but away from the corners. I like that the sub has a switch for polarity, however I didn't need to use it. Also has line level inputs if you have a subwoofer output from your amp. It plays fairly loud, but most importantly it plays cleanly. Bass can be boomy if the crossover is set too high. Next change I will make is to use the Speaker B connection from the amp to the Sub, and route the bookshelf speakers directly from the amp Speaker A outputs instead of through the sub. I need more banana plug cables to do this.I wrote this review because although Micca has many other products, this sub is a new addition to their lineup, and I didn't see any other reviews for this product. This is the first sub I've purchased.

Surprisingly good sound - with a couple of issues 3.5/5
The good:The sound produced by the speaker is impressive for a 10" sub. There is no distortion even at loud volume. The setup instructions are pretty good, and they aren't kidding about the placement of the speaker. This unit does not do well as an indirect speaker and sounds best firing directly at the listener from the front of the room. The cabinet build quality and packaging are all very nice. The bad:The auto-on feature is great if you never listen to anything at low volume. At low volume the speaker cuts in and out constantly and only turns on when it gets enough line in signal (a level of signal significantly higher than I would have hoped). This means at low volume (such as nightime TV watching) the sub will be silent until something particularly loud happens at which point it switches on and doubles the volume in the room. The only workaround is to leave it on at all times (or leave it on and put it on a switched outlet controlled by the receiver). This issue is irritating enough to knock a full star off.Volume leveling - at low volume the sub is significantly louder than it is at high volume. This is compounded by the need to have the line input level pushed up to prevent the sub from cutting out at low/mid volume.Overall the sub sounds far nicer than it should at this price, but the auto-on issues are enough to drop it down to a 3.5/5. If that issue is addressed in future units I would have no problem going full 5 star.

Welcome to the full-sound arena.
It's a mood-maker. It's a floor shaker. This 12" sub gives a well-rounded, full sound at a lower volume or a wall-shaking experience, depending on your desired level. With adjustments for crossover and gain (volume), it readily creates a listening experience suited to your environment and disposition. I'm very pleased with the power of the built-in amp and the range of customization. With easy, flexible hook-up options, it'll connect to anything. I use it with a 40 Watt-per-channel classic-aged receiver, and it sounds better than any speaker I can remember. Coupled with a pair of 45-22,000 Hz "book shelf" speakers (6.5" full range and 1" silk-dome tweeter), I get a very satisfying listening experience. By the way, it's in my wood-shop Man-cave, where the acoustics are less than optimal. Having tried it in my basement's family room, too, I know it's not a biased opinion based on a before-and-after sound system swap in my wood-shop.For less than 2 bills, buy it. You'll be impressed.EDIT: I should add that the rounded-over corners and black finish, are very nice. More furniture-like than a sharp, boring black box.

No sound upon arrival
I setup the speaker exactly how the tech manual said to set it up. I ran through the troubleshooting on their website. I ran through my receivers troubleshooting guide. I tried outputting sound from other systems to the sub. Nothing. So far, no response from the Micca tech support. Very disappointed.

Really nice Subwoofer. Great customer service
I was really surprised that this 10 inch subwoofer sounds so good. It is much better than the several more expensive subs that I have owned in the past. I was so happy with this that I bought a second one to replace a REL (expensive) sub in my main system. l had a slight problem with this when I first got it but their customer service is outstanding. I also own several of their other products & they are all a great value with excellent performance.

No very powerful.
It’s not so powerful. Kinda disappointed really. Gave a little base. You won’t “feel it” by any means like a Sonos sub. I would not recommend it or buy it again but I did buy so I use it! What ever

Great Subwoofer
This is a great plug and play. I first purchased an Acoustic Audio down firing 15inch subwoofer it did not have the hard hitting sound I was looking for, I than did some research and decided to try the Micca 12inch. Man on man that was the right move, the sound is truly what I was looking for. Very hard hitting with very deep bass.

Cant beat for price.
Good sound. Great price. Two annoyances. The circle speaker cover looks weird. They should design it to be the whole square front. Also the power light on the back goes from red to blue when set on auto whenever the sub source drops and turns back on. Cool option to save power but If watching a movie in a dark room you get the ambient glow from the color switching back and forth. Very bright and can be distracting. I threw a piece of electrical tape over the light. All good now.
