Brilliant camera, easy set up and connection. You can fine tune your setup in the app so i do not get false alarms, picture is very clear during the day and also at night which i had not found with other brands, it is a fantastic system. You can buy an sd card to fit it if you want to be subscription free, although the subscription is great value for the money. You will not be disappointed in this camera, you will feel more secure.

I’ve been using the Tapo TC41 for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed. Setup was a breeze—just connect to WiFi, pair with the app, and you’re good to go. I love that there’s no monthly fee—everything is stored locally or via Tapo Care if you want cloud backup. Absolutely first class for protecting my pride and joy against theft! So easy to set up and amazing to have the tilt and pan function! I’ll be buying more of these for sure! Great quality image and the Tapo Care plan reasonable at £2.99 per month for cloud storage. Worth it! I also love its wired so I don’t have to charge all the time. Highly recommended!

Pretty decent camera especially for the price, smart tracking works okay provided the object is at a distance & works well with NVR software such as; BlueIris & AgentDvr with PTZ control, patrolling and area presets. Only issue is the lack of an Ethernet port.

Overall great value as the image quality is great, Wi-Fi also works well and the price point solid. I was looking for something good that would not need extensive wiring through the house and this fit the bill. I had to buy a 220v to 12v transformer to feed the camera which I put in a weatherproof box. I reused the wiring for an outside light that served no purpose. It would be much easier to install if it worked on 220v. Setup with the app is easy and straightforward, the camera connects well to wifi and is consistent. Not having to pay a subscription is a top bonus. Image quality is great and following movement is also great. Night vision is also very decent. However, the AI detection is rubbish and plants and rain are all consistently detected as people or camera being blocked. It’s not a

The application is not good compared to other makes of camera. It's less intuitive and notably short on the features that I use with my original camera. Connecting was simple and trouble free, but I need something to function alongside my other devices. Home assistant or Vlc that work with other cameras streams will not function. The Tapo help pages are totally useless, merely pointing out the obvious or giving the option of email or an even more useless webchat process. Using their reccommended comunity pages, I see that many users have identical problems, no solution is offerred, just a closure of the topic. So I am still awaiting am answer to my email! I don't consider it acceptable that cameras cannot be monitored separately on the same screen and the user application is certainly not good enought to think of installing a large screen monitor and changing my other camera to Tapo. .
