Independently tested to be the worst? Are you kidding me?
Seriously? The worst wax lube ever tested by ZFC? Bought a bag hoping it might be the next best thing and then zero friction cycling does their independent test and this stuff is the worst they ever tested! I used it once and am now worried that I've shortened the life of my chain. I know Finish Line has a history of making very cheap and very poor performing lubricants, but had certainly hoped that as this was both new and expensive they might have changed their ways but guess not.

Easy low mess way to wax your chain
I'm an avid cyclist, both mountain and gravel. I've heard of the benefits of waxing a chain vs. traditional lube and wanted to try it out. I will start by saying that actual waxing process is much much easier than the prep required. Whether an old chain or a brand new one (new is best), you have to put a lot of effort into stripping off the grease and oil before you can wax. You also have to clean your whole drivetrain. As for the waxing, this product makes it trivial. Just put the bag in a pot of boiling water, wait until all the wax melts (took about 15 minutes for me), and then use the included tool to dip your chain in the bag and let it sit for a few minutes. Once it was done, I moved the whole bag under a cabinet so that I could hang the immersion tool from a knob and let the chain drip back into the bag. When it had cooled, I simply sealed the bag back up and took the chain off of the tool. Zero mess. I've done one ~30 mile ride on the chain so far, and I'm a fan. I feel like my drivetrain may be a bit more noisy, but that's tough to tell and everything felt smooth. I could run the chain through my hands afterward and they came away clean. I'm looking forward to seeing how long the chain lasts and how frequently I have to reapply. So far I'm sold on it. This makes a huge difference
This stuff is great, it goes on easily in no time at all and does exactly what it is supposed to do. I have used this on every bike in my house and we all love it.

Wet Sand in the bag!!!
Item looks like wet sand in the bag, have seen many reviews online about this item looking like wet sand instead of actual wax pellets, the wet sand looking one did not work as stated. Zero Friction has stated that the results were very poor so I won't risk buying it again, Finish line need to get their production correct and stop selling people wet sand as chain wax.

Less messy
Initially, I had reservations about this lubrication method. Firstly, I am not a dedicated cycling enthusiast and do not possess any cycling shorts. However, I occasionally enjoy riding my electric bike with my family and am responsible for the maintenance of our five bicycles. When servicing our bicycles, I typically employ a bike chain cleaning solvent to dissolve old lubricant and grime from the chain, followed by thorough scrubbing with a cleaning brush. After another application of the solvent, I wipe off the excess and apply new chain lube to the chains. While this process is not particularly complex, it can be time-consuming for five bicycles and can be somewhat messy. This wax dipping method offers significant advantages in terms of speed and cleanliness. The cleaning process remains the same, but with this method, I must remove the chain. Once the bag of wax is heated, I can immerse the chain in the wax using the provided tool. This process is remarkably simple and expeditious. Any residual wax can be set aside to solidify and reused at a later time by reheating the wax bag. The chains have remained in excellent condition since I applied the wax treatment, which was not long ago. In comparison to using chain lube, the chains do not appear to be accumulating as much dirt. This wax is highly effective, and I intend to continue using this method of lubricating my chains in the future.

Easy cleaning and super slippery
A long time ago I warmed up paraffin and soaked my chains it. It worked OK, but it just wasn't the right stuff for the job. This stuff is WAY better than the old wax baths. Halo wax has a low melting point and drips off your chain, leaving a slippery residue on the surface and embedded in the links. It also feels much more slippery than regular paraffin wax and doesn't attract dirt like oil-based products do. It's best to use this on a new chain after thorough cleaning with a solvent, but I got good results on a used chain with some rigorous cleaning. Give your chain a final rinse in 90% alcohol or brake cleaner and let it dry before dipping in the wax. It may take a couple of applications on a used chain to get it deeply embedded, but once you get it in the links and reapply regularly, you'll have a smooth shifting chain that doesn't get you all nasty if you touch it. You'll also likely get your chain to last much longer, which makes it worth the investment to get a higher-end chain. Even if you have a low-end drive train, it's worth it to spend the extra money on a high-end chain for better shifting and less chance of breaks, and this stuff will keep it going for a long time. Get the other Halo products to clean and add a little juice between dips.

Actual wax is excellent, process leaves a bit to be desired.
I bought a new chain and then waxed with this lubricant. SUPER SMOOTH...not a single sound out of my chain, which is incredible. Great product. In terms of application, it needs to be my kitchen involved in lubricating my chain...not optimal, but ok. Then you just dip in the bag and you need to hang to let it dry. So, you need to think about your setup to make all of this happen. If they were to focus on any area, it should be the application process. The product itself is excellent.

HALO HOT WAX Bike Chain Lubricant
My husband is the bike guy in the family, so I can't explain in great detail about this product. What I do know though, is that he really likes this hot wax! A few days prior to ordering this, he went to the local hardware store and bought the usual bike lube because he didn't even know hot bike chain wax existed. The lube did a so-so job and he went about his day. Then I saw this hot wax and thought I'd order it for him. He said it was very easy to use (put the bag into boiling water, put the chain into the bag once the wax has melted, and wait.) He is very happy with the results and says his bike rides so smoothly since using this.

Halo is prima
