Seems to be effective
Filter is good but you can’t see the efficacy since it is inside purifier and I don’t have the means to measure the amount or size of particles coming out in the air.

Easy to install, and effective
Together with the HEPA filter, this activated carbon filter is quite effective in cleaning room air. PM 2.5 goes down from 150 in winter in Bangalore to less than 25 with my Phillips purifier. You have to ensure room is properly closed and no other exhaust fan is running (e.g. in attached bathroom) for maximum effect. Lasts for 6 months or so in Bangalore air. Easy to install and clean periodically.
