The A.O. Smith Z9 Water Purifier is a powerful and efficient unit with great purification performance. However, one important factor to consider before buying is its depth. This purifier has a depth of over 320mm, which doesn’t fit easily into standard kitchen cabinets, as these are often built with a 300mm depth. After installation, the purifier’s face extends to around 335mm, which required us to remove the cabinet door to accommodate it.While it’s an excellent product in terms of functionality and water quality, be sure to measure your intended installation space beforehand to ensure a proper fit.

This review is after just 2.5 years of use and I am pretty sure this is the case for 90% of people. Just read till the end.If you are in city, you must take AMC (6100 rupees) which is one year validy everything they willt ake care of. Because parts cost that theywill quote is more than this. So for an year you will pay 6,100 rupees apart from 25,000 rs for the purifier. Till AMC is there, no issue will be there. 1 or 2 months after AMC is expired, issue will come (filter or taste or motor or heating water or smell or this or that for sure) and they come and say charges are 9,000, better take AMC again for 6,100 rs.This cycle repeats every year and you will be a premium subscriber for which they care nothing about. It happened to me 2 times in 2 and half years, right after AMC expires.If you are in town or not in big city, they wont come for 3-4 days. But the problem is same. Rather I can take subscription from Livpure or drinkprime in city. But if in small town or village, they dont even bother about you. Customer care redirects you to area manager and he doesn't even care. Those people are from other purifier service centers and AO Smith just pays them some commission just to attend to queries. I personally got to know about all this from them.Now after 40k of loss for 2.5 years, they came with another issue asking for 6,100rs. I dont want to pay anymore to these people. I will use that money and buy regular one, instead of falling for these multi level of water protections they say as RO, 7 layer filter, etc etc.TLDR: Forget about AO Smith, choose some mid range purifier and they are substantially better than this, for very low price.

I am really liking this water purifier so far. Been using it for 2 months now and so far no issues. It took me time to adjust to the taste of the water but compared to other RO's that I've used before, the taste is pretty good.Hot water is also a pretty good feature especially in winters, you can store 800ml of hot water and use it to drink or your morning coffee. I also love the light it throws in your container while filling water, makes my cup glow and the kid in me really likes it.One thing that bothers me so far is the beep sound that happens every time you press the button to fill up, it's annoying when you're trying to drink water late night, I don't know if there is any option to turn it off but it's just me nit-picking.Overall it's a 5 star product and everything from build quality to ease of use to feature list is top notch. Satisfied till now.
