Price is right for a vegetarian protein source. Value for money: With addition of lysine, this becomes a complete protein and provides 75gms of protein per 100 gms of product. The powder is more crystalline than amorphous. Haven't lab tested the efficacy or anything, but the elasticity seems fair when comparing on a like for like basis with similar products. 4 stars. Taste is so bad

I stopped buying this because something has changed over the last year. It now dries out my bread really badly, and makes it incredibly dense. Maybe the protein volume has drastically increased ?, i dont know….but I can’t use it anymore.

After adding a tablespoon of this product, as you can see my whole wheat bread, came out pretty good. Before this I was adding all purpose flour (maida) to get similiar results. The only thing I had to tweak was water content. Rather than adding 1 cup, I had to add a little over 2 cups. I am very pleased with this product.

I have been using it to make home made bread for last 8 months Pros. Good quality gluten. I am using it for making bread and the results are as expect. Doesn't lend any chemical smell to the bread. Comes in a convenient re-sealable package. Cons You need to use a colander to avoid lumps. Price could be better. Overall I am happy about the quality and I thank Urban Platter and Amazon for making it available.

The wheat gluten is good to make Seitan a delicious healthy vegan food product, which I did! You can prepare the gluten your self but that takes a lot of your time. So to safe time this is definitely a good option! The only question is why Urban Platter does not make the gluten from Organic Wheat?! The reason I gave 4stars! The taste would to much better and even better for your health and the planet!!
