Great strong Flavor

Great price for premium quality black tea. I've always stuck to green tea or barley, but given the price thought I'd try this black tea and I was not disappointed. These worked great iced and was really with milk and a dash of honey, perfect for a mid day treat. The flavor is strong and a good amount of caffeine to help provide the boost I need during the day.

This tea bag is interesting, with a string that is nestled into the bag, and you take the large cardboard tag and pop it off the top of the tea bag to unfurl the string. Then you brew the tea as normal, and it's nice that you can see the leaves through the bag. They are a blend and you can see the different colors and leaf sections. But, I don't like that it is in a plasticky bag. I am concerned about microplastics in a hot brewed tea, but maybe you don't have these concerns and like the clear mesh. I don't like that the bag is not compostable and if I were to continue to use this tea I would remove it from the bag and brew it as loose leaf tea. When the tea is brewed, the instructions on the bag say to tear the green part of the top of the tag off (if I am reading it correctly) and pull it up, which also pulls the string up, and the bag gets scrunched up and you can squeeze it with the rest of the cardboard tag that has moved down the string. It's a neat kind of gimmick that keeps your fingers clean, dry, and not burned from squeezing your teabag. The brew seems lighter than a super black tea, and it has a complex flavor more on the bitter side. I would say this is best used in a sweetened tea or one brewed with spices like chai, sweetened and with a creamer added. Each bag is individually packaged in cellophane so this is a good contribution to the office kitchen or a shared area. For regular home use I might tend toward different packaging that contains fewer bags and less plastic.

I really enjoyed this black tea. It's got a little powdery to it, but overall it tastes quite good. Out of 3 different black teas I got to taste for review, this was easily my favorite of the 3.

I’m enjoying this tea.I wasn’t expecting a lot of difference from other black teas. But there is definitely a different taste within. Not a particular spiciness or outside flavor, but a good strength whether brewed for a few minutes or allowed to steep overnight.

This black tea is a solid, if not amazing English Breakfast style tea. The flavor isn't quite as strong or flavorful as I like in my EB teas. I wouldn't say it necessarily lives up to the "Rich and Bold" advertising and requires two bags to get that bolder flavor that I want.I like the tea bags, they're easy to use and you can see that the tea has quality ingredients. Each once is individually packed so they should stay fresh for a long time.
