FINAL FANTASY I-VI Collection Anniversary Edition - 2024 (NSW)

Sometimes you can improve on a classic. Awesome collection of the six old-school Final Fantasy titles -some of the greatest and most popular role playing games of all time. I totally love the beautifully remastered pixels and orchestral music (with a retro-style option), they did not go overboard updating the masterpieces, and the games maintain their classic look and feel. The grand stories, filled mystical heroes, epic villains, a plethora of magical beasts, and quirky melodrama are all intact -complete with music and art galleries for each game. Hours and hours of nostalgic fun and an education in the epitome of a classical-era RPG franchise. A much needed diversion and an extraordinary trip down memory lane. Most highly recommended to fans of classic video games.

Really great value, and nice to have them all on one disc. Fun to play them in order and see how the series has evolved over time. The fast-forward feature makings leveling and grinding a bit easier.

If you are looking to replay the classics, or want to play them for the first time to see how the Final Fantasy series started, this is the way to go. I do like the old school graphics and aspects of the originals, and think they are better than the remakes. But at the same time, the remakes gives them a fresh coat of paint so-to-speak, and makes the graphics a little less painful for the people who are not accustomed to the 8 and 16 bit era. I also liked that they have Trophies/Achievements added to the games.

Nostalgia! The Pixel Remasters of the OG Final Fantasy games from the 8 and 16-bit eras are the definitive versions. So much content on such a little cartridge! From the original title to one of the greatest RPGs of all time (FFVI), there is easily over a hundred hours of adventure.

I had played a couple Final Fantasy Games as a kid on my Nintendo... they were pretty pricey back then, but one of my friends would allow me to borrow his when he was done. Of course, he always had the walk through books and made these games a lot easier than they would have been.Fast forward 35 years...and I do mean FAST... these are a great reminder of what video games were like for us. Not a ton of brutal violence or realistic graphics... just pixelated characters navigating classic story lines with some personal strategies, mixed in.This collection takes you back, and the quantity of games leaves you there. I suspect this is a year's worth of game play for me, these days... tremendous value... and it's remarkable that the stories and the maps trigger memories that have been buried for those 35 years.Highly recommend.

I'm happy to be able to play these games again, and appreciate the updated music, sounds, and graphics that still stay true to the classics. The auto-save feature is helpful too.

Got this for Christmas from my wife, and I love it. Getting to go back and play old Final Fantasy games that have been remastered. The pixels look great and its been an awesome experience going back to the past to play these retro games. Highly recommend for any retro game lover, FF fan or someone looking for an old school game experience.

Final Fantasy was my favorite series growing up, so I was excited to dive back in with this collection. They’ve definitely changed a lot from the originals — the updated features make things way easier than they used to be on the old systems.That said, it’s still a ton of fun, and getting all six classic games in one package is a great deal. If you’re a longtime fan, you’ll notice the differences, but it’s still a solid way to relive the series.
