Review: Great - Been using it for couple weeks now and works well. Heat level is wonderful. No doesn't have what to use heat level for certain fabrics on the iron but it does say in the instructions pamphlet. It is but in heavy side but that doesn't bother me. Hand is very comfortable. The quality of iron is way better then most irons I have gotten. The noise is not loud at all. Overall I love this iron and how easy it is to use and serves it purposes.

A: The 180IR has a status light to indicate the iron is heating up, while a green light indicates it is ready to use. It is possible for the soleplate to cool off during use, if this happens the light will turn from green to red.

A: This depends on the heat setting. It can take anywhere from 2 to 3 minutes for your item to heat up. During heat up the temp setting light will flash red. Once ready, it will turn green and beep once.

**Q: Do I need to use distilled water?**
A: If you have really hard water, we suggest emptying the water tank after use. For best results, always use clean fresh water. The use of distilled water is not required, but it will prolong the life of your iron.

**Q: What happens if the iron accidentally tips over?**
A: If the iron accidentally tips over and the iron left horizontally, the 30-second safety feature will be activated and the iron will shut off.

I bought this iron to replace my old, cheap iron and I'm pleased with the purchase. The quality is very nice. The iron itself is large and heavy duty. It heats up quickly and produces steam consistently. I like that it auto shuts off if it is lying flat after 30 seconds with no movement.
