The Pather Panchali Sketchbook

Like Satyajit Ray's films this book was also a predated creation. Now we do storyboard, but I don't think at the time of Pather Panchali anybody did it, not at least in India. It's probably because Ray loved the art of film making and discovered the art of cinema through his heart. The book is inspirational, not that it teaches you anything new but it inspires the filmmaker in you to charter into unchartered waters, with nothing but belief trust confidence and live. Highly recommended to feel the warmth of Satyajit Ray.

Excellent production. Combined with outstanding sketches of Ray and the other contents. Quality is outstanding. Altogether this is a precious historical evidence. The book is great and definitely a collector's edition. But I am a tad bit disappointed as I bought it at a higher price than what is now available at.

One of the best buys so far for 2020.
