Great little water tank
So I use this product for about almost 2 years, yes, it does have an issue with the sealant at the bottom you do have to improvise just use some plumbing tape it fixes it other than that it’s been great. It’s perfect in my 5 foot bed truck

Great price and works once you figure out how to get the drain on properly
This was a great price for a little water tank for me on my property. I also had a problem at first with it leaking at the seal. What o figured out is you must remove the plug, set the rubber gasket and cap then screw they all on super tight. Then add your plug or the recommended attachment with shut off and get that on super tight as well. It took me a couple of tries with just a little water to make sure I had a good seal. I’ve since filled the tank several times and not had an issue with any leaks. Hope this helps others

Solid tank, very impressed with it.
This tank is great. Well made and holds all the water I need. I use it when I’m burning my brush pile in the back yard. Beats having to use 5 gallon buckets! I put it in the back of my side by side and hooked a battery operated transfer pump to it so I have on demand water to spray on the burn pile as needed. I like the hose attachment is in a great location and the opening on top is easy to get to and large. Tons of uses , you can use it for spraying etc.

Great other than the plastic outlet cap
I strap this onto my dirt bike hauling trailer for camping/riding trips and it gets me plenty of water to use for washing bikes and showering. It's the perfect size where it's not too big, but not too small either. It has nice strap indentations on the top so those don't slide around. The only issues I have are with the drain/outlet piece leaking. Having plastic threads make it hard to tighten down hoses to it and the 2 piece cap there with a rubber gasket can leak as well. Make sure that gasket is in the right place, I think mine I put gasket against the tank. You'll know pretty immediately if it's not in the right place.

tank is ok, but useless as-is with fittings provided
Bought this to carry water in my UTV to water plantings that we can't reach with a hose. Tank itself fits well in my UTV and seems adequately sturdy, but is hard to strap securely to the bed (curved sides without mounting points or good recesses to hold straps). But the huge FAIL is that the plastic fittings for the drain outlet are really cheap and inadequate. As other reviewers have noted, the fittings as provided WILL leak, so you need to put in extra effort and supplies (washer/o-ring, caulk/joint paste, glue) to stop the leak. The bigger issue is that the 3/4" hose fitting is poorly designed and too weak to attach a hose to. Mine sheared off the first time I used it! I would have returned it but it's so oversized that would be a huge hassle. Instead I've had to buy additional fittings to close off the original drain and install a higher quality bulkhead fitting and tap elsewhere on the tank. So, extra cost and time to make the tank useful. Fingers crossed that the tank will last long enough to justify the effort. I would not buy this again and am unlikely to buy anything else from Chapin.

Solid Product at a Good Price
I have this setup for water transport to and from our coops. I can get a little more that the stated 15 gallons, so it has made my life much easier. It's not too heavy for the 4-wheeler when filled with water and it fits perfectly on the rear rack. I purchased a cutoff valve and a potable water hose for it as well. No leaks at this point and it seems to be of good quality. I did have to wash it out several times in order to remove plastic pieces from the manufacturing process, but I always wash my tanks with soap before use anyway. Very fair price when compared to the local feed store products of the same size. Let's see how well it holds up to heavy use and it is protected from the elements when not in use.

Almost great.
We have this mounted on a UTV bed rack for mobile watering duties. It does the job well while it works, but the weak link is the garden hose adapter which is not stout enough where the garden hose attaches to withstand normal use without slowly weakening and cracking where the hose connects. Chapin doesn't sell replacements anywhere on the web that we have found and doesn't list them on it's website, so when it fails you have to request a replacement from Chapin which took several email attempts and a phone call before anyone responded. The outlet is also odd sized and different threaded so it won't accept any standard IBC type hose connectors either, so whenever Chapin decides to stop making this particular model tank it will be end of life for the entire tank most likely.

Works as intended
Works well for my mobile detailing business. It already has places that ratchet straps fit into to secure it to my trailer. The handles make it easy to carry. Holds water well. No leaks.

Tank is nice. But the bottom cap and 3/4 inch spigot are awful. . No shut of valve and no mater what you do it leaks. Be prepared to go out and by quality fitting or return the unit.good thing i tested with water first before100 a gallon plasma cutting fluid in it

Leaks. Just a bit, a drop a second or so. Not a lot, just enough to make a permanent mess. Too bad :( Otherwise Ok. Raised from 3 to 4 stars. A HEAVY dose of teflon tape fixed the leaking bottom cap. But then you can’t take it off as often to clean / empty the vat. And the thread seems to be proprietary? Couldnt find a compatible, sturdy, closed cap for the bottom outlet.

If you dont mind a little bit of water dripping than it's a good product for your use
