It just works. This is a replacement for my Wipro Gartnet, which is fancy, dimmable, color changing, but reflects light and Strains your eyes. THIS is it. It doesn’t have fancy adjustments, because it’s not required. In Wipro Gartnet it does not remember the last brightness setting, you have to adjust everytime. THIS, just switch on and start working!! It is designed for reading. Phillips products are ALWAYS well designed and well researched, hence they are bit costly but also better products, always.

Philips is known for its quality products, so i bought this LED lamp for my desk few pros and cons i observed about this Lamp are.Pros:1. Good quality of LED doesnt give you strain on eyes.2. Sleek design3. Multiple adjustment level, you can adjust the head as well as arm but in 2 directions only.4. Comes with on off switch on its base.5. Doesn't heatCons:1. Plastic quality is bit on lower side, the gabs are visible and fit n finish could have been improved.2. It doesnt comes with LED dimmer so you have basically fix lumens, sometimes it feel too bright when your book pages are glossy or you are reading some magazines.3. The base is little big size so sometimes it creates a problem with adjusting it on tight space on desk.4. It doesnt comes with a battery so doesnt have any backup in case you dont have power socket near you.Otherswise its going good using it for about 2 weeks now.

LED’s are quite popular due to its energy saving and long life traits. Thus it’s quite obvious to go with a LED one over traditional lamps while buying a new lamp. It generates 250 Lumens of light with its 20 LED panel and requires a 240 v traditional power outlet to draw 5 watts.Its bending ability makes it more user friendly. We can bend it as low as we want and really high by bending it to 90 degrees. It looks really classy yet modern due to its sleek look and design. The size of this lamp is neither small nor too large, it’s quite perfect whether for an office or a study table.Also, it’s quite lightweight and that makes it easy to handle even for a child. The power cable is around 1 mtr long that’s quite sufficient to reach a nearby power source. On the back side at the bottom a power switch has been provided to control it right from your desk.The only thing which needs more attention is the adjustments. Those are very loose, as when we bend the panel it bends itself completely to the bottom. It needs a little patience to adjust it in the desired position but once done it don’t moves.Overall, I can say that although it don’t comes with add on features like brightness control, USB compatibility and charging function like most of the high end modern lamps but it’s perfect for those looking to buy a stylish desk lamp at a reasonable price. Lenth of power cord is around 1 metre. The light is quite bright in a 40 cm radius semi circle (of course, it will have a shadow area on the rear end). Beyond the bright zone, the rest of the room will be illuminated by a very soft glow.
