Great strategy beginner game
Took the kids that I taught this to a game or two to really pick up on the strategy, but once they did, they wanted to keep playing. The pieces are top notch cardboard, just like any other A-list board game these days. I like the environmental subtext in the game. It's not too long, so it's easy for people to approach and learn. Best of all, my wife actually wanted to play with me!

Good drafting game
Biomos is a fast-paced, strategic board game that features five types of Terrain: Forest, Ocean, Desert, Mountain, and Glacier. The game is quick to pick up, with a listed playtime of around 20 minutes, and has an enjoyable balance between planning and reacting to the game board as it evolves. I love that there are two types of Biome cards: Basic Biomes and Giant Biome which add layers of strategy depending on how you choose to play your Terrain Tokens. The gameplay is straightforward with four steps: taking a Terrain Token, placing it on your planet board, activating a planetary event if you’re eligible, and finally collecting a Biome Card when your terrain layout matches the required configuration. I found the third step (activating planetary events) adds a nice bit of optional complexity that lets you plan for bigger moves. The solo mode, where you play against a Black Hole, is a great feature for those who like to play alone. It’s challenging but doesn't take long to get through. Overall, Biomos is an easy-to-learn, quick game that’s perfect for both casual players and those who enjoy a little more strategy in their games.

Casual fast drafting and pattern making fun.
This is a nice little drafting game where each player is working on building the environments on their own planet. Gameplay is pretty simple - draft a token, add it to your planet, and claim an environment card if you've matched its required pattern. There are a few options for manipulating the drafted tokens and adjusting how your particular planet scores. There is a bit of randomness in how the tokens and environment cards come out and you might get lucky (or unlucky) at times, but it's such a fast game that it's not a big deal. This is a great filler for when you need something quick at the beginning or end of game night.

Competitive and short
You canan pick up the game basics easily through play and each game takes only around a half hour. This is a small game and transports easily. The game pieces as well as the game theme is all environmentally friendly. Learn about different biomes while trying to be the victor.

Biomos: A Game That Makes Learning Ecology Fun and Engaging!
Biomos isn't just a game; it's a fantastic educational tool that brings the wonders of ecology to life. The high-quality components and beautiful artwork make it a joy to play, while the strategic gameplay reinforces essential ecological principles. As a homeschooling parent, I've found Biomos to be an invaluable resource for my kids' science curriculum. We've used it to explore concepts like biodiversity, food webs, and the delicate balance of ecosystems. Watching my children excitedly create their own thriving planets and strategize about how to nurture their unique ecosystems has been incredibly rewarding. Biomos has turned learning ecology into an interactive and engaging experience that the whole family enjoys!

Fast-playing, slick little game
The descriptions of easy-to-learn and cozy is correct. It's not going to provide realms of deep strategy, it's target audience being people who are willing to go beyond basic board games, that want something quick and simple and a little bit satisfying. Could be a decent gateway game, for instance.Everyone picks this up very quickly, because you're just trying to fit these little biome discs into a semicircular planetary track, positioning them to complete patterns which give you points. There are a couple other little tricks to it, but it's mostly about that draft. The theme is pretty barebones, but it's attractive enough with its general vibe of planetary biomes. It doesn't have amazing components, but it has perfectly adequate and reasonably satisfying ones to manipulate. It doesn't overstay its welcome, which makes it a worthwhile addition to my collection.

A mechanism in search of a game
The mechanism of this game is interesting. But there really isn't a game here. It's a little puzzle-y but it ultimately feels like a luck based game. There really isn't much strategy. We played this 4 player with my 12 and 11 year old kids. They agreed that it was just meh.
