Beast
Well, I really have nothing to say about this product. Its a Beast. I used a z506 before this. it was a surround 5.1 speaker. I was in doubt that is it worthy to downgrade from 5.1 surround to 2.1 stereo. But never doubt on Logitech Specially when it is tagged as THX. A huge massive Bass will thumper your heart even at half sound and half bass. A product which is THX certified means it passed 400 strict tests from THX labs. This Giant wake up when it comes to movies, movies with good audio codec comes alive in this one.Sound quality:Its a massive 200 watt system. Means its enough for a small House party. I have a medium sized room and half way sound literally shakes my showcases and windows. It has a massive Bass. every low tones comes out Lively and Bass punches will blow your Heart out. And talking about high volume, It doesnt distorts even at 90% volume. After that a slight distortion comes, but if you're in a party mood or #Bang-My-Head mood you cant notice. But i suggest not to crank it up to high volume.Sattelites speakers are 35 watts each and the sub itself is 130 watts. The sub woofer is massive, I repeat its way more big than z506. Sattelites have a good crisp mid and high output, but if you hear it in a stock on board Soundcard you may get the sound a bit muffeled. My suggestion is Get a Soundcard or DAC. I use with Fiio olympus2 and sounds are way more clear and Crisp than the stock onboard card..Pros:Good build quality, Feels premium in handvolume and bass knobs are smooth in feelthis time speakers come with iron grills not net covered.200watt total output which can shake your room.THX - that means something bro, thats something, I feel it.A good news for #BassHappy peoples, cause of heart blowing bass bosst.Aux and Headphone out.3 devices can be connected together, simultaneouslywithin 8k pricepoint its a worthy deal.cons:Not at all, nothing in the sound section. They removed the wired remote and moved the controllers to the right satellite and made the right connection cable thicker and short, which may be a problem to some people to set up their desk, I Usually put them beside my monitors so its not a big deal for me.Its not a worthy successor of Logitech z2320. but it has Almost every specifications of it in a new Sexy Black cover. The headphone output doesnt have much power, My Ath m50x sounds pale on this headphone port but previously z506 headphone port was so Loud that almost everytime i used to plug my headphones on that portBut overally I am very happy with this Beast and its a worthy downgrade to 2.1 stereo. #Basshappy

Very neat, soothing pleasant sound
Updated*** post full burn inAbout the speakers, they are good only after proper burn-in. Amazing details, notes hidden in the music will emerge. Tonal balance is average. Loudness is sufficient. Bass is floor shaking with good low frequency effects felt all over the room...I remember my sister saying that floor is vibrating @bout 60% volume. A little boomy, pleasant to listen.Music XperienceBass: is overwhelming, set at middle its too much. Keeping at 10-11 o'clock is recommend. Cutting too much bass also cuts the upper bass resulting in loss of fullness of bass. No distortion/slight stress observed when listened through smartphone output at full volume/bass.Distortion was evident with DVD players and pc/laptop output(since they have higher output power than smartphones) after 90% but that was at unrealistic high volume which might never be used in closed spaces.(>100db).Bass is synchronous with the beats of music though a little slow not tight enough, it has tendency to get boomy sometimes but under control. Powerful and strong are the words which represents it.Mids: are not impressive, just average. Peaks and troughs can be clearly observed at 1000hz, which makes the xperince just average. Satellites becomes noisy after surpassing 60-70% volume. Voices just loose thickness and become sharp and ear-piercing. Although micro details are present which is a good thing. Its just that it wouldn't sound realistic.Treble: it is boosted at 8000hz and 12000hz obviously to sound good which is the case with commercial speakers. Good thing is sounds almost realistic. Details are well maintained. It is too directional. Only meant for 1-2 audience sitting in the sweet spot. Lower treble is boosted which makes the voices sound thin.Little distortion was observed which could be unnoticed many times.I had Sony SRS D8, Swans M10 before, D8 were bright(over)in nature, very thin sounding and too boomy bass. Swans were overall good but for the loudness, I mean people could easily talk to each other while them paying at even full volume. But these z623 surpasses expectation.Movie Experience:Movie watching was very entertaining on this set, every details implemented in track is clearly audible with thunderous and deep bass.Justice is given to the THX certification.Watched Avatar on these, got goose bumps.Spatial representation is good, as people could figure out where the sound was coming from. Helicopter flying over the head, explotions out of the scenes are very well represented. Sometimes dialogues sound muffled. Action movies are best watched in this set. Explotions, gunshots, roars etc are the moments to wait for.So overall i could say that these speaker definetly require equalizer as follows:60hz: -5db125hz: +3db300hz: -3db1khz:. -3db8khz:. -6db12khz:. -3dbThese recommedation are subjective and surely imrpoves sound, cut on loudness however nothing can change the fact that these are noisy, its the materials used and small drivers. It is better than the regular speakers sold in the market who dont want to face the embarrassment of distortion and theater like movie experience, but equally bad for music. There is No other 2.1 speaker in market with this quality of distortion free sound (apart from swans) in this price range.

the sub woofer is good. bass is deep and punchy
the sub woofer is good. bass is deep and punchy. gives you good tight bass but not the best (but much better bass than all the other systems below 9k). for the money i think its the best sub you can get. have tried out almost all the 2.1 speakers below this price and found their bass lacking.satelites do their job well but whenever you are listening to a song you cant help but wish that if only the sub could be little less dominating. so the sound is a little dull (bass oriented) - do note that im nitpicking here. sounds fine for casual listeners. bass-heads and party-guys would absolutely love their decision if they got this.there are missing frequencies and no amount of equalizer tweaking would bring them back. this will be evident if you listen to a song in a good pair of headphones and then tried it out on these speakers to compare (i have a sennheiser cx180 street ii earphones and subtle notes that i heard in those which made music all the more enjoyable were sorely missed in the Logitech)if you are not an audiophile (i mean really not) then these speakers will not disappoint. i have learned that getting a better sound quality speakers than these (to be able to hear all the subtle notes) means shelling out a lot more and i don't think that unless u are an audiophile the extra money is'nt worth it. So for the price - it beats all (everything below its price - hands down). Own them and rock on!!!

Logitech and Repulsive administration from amazon however justified, despite all the trouble
I would compose the item survey first then everything else!In the event that you cherish music and don't have spending plan for Bose (Companion 5 here)The Companion 5 resemble loudish uproarious sounding when it is high on volume however Z623 resemble the way loudness should be! It's not sharp like C5 but neither blunt which is perfect for PC speaker according to me maybe that is why THX certified. In a solitary word, it sounds genuine where C5 tries to be genuine, which doesn't make it awful either! In the event that you got money for both I would propose C5 for TV and Logitech for Computer. The bass of Z623 fills the entire room which is extraordinary and feels like encompass sound! I am utilizing Samsung H20 for my television also which sounds darn good at its cost yet you can undoubtedly recognize the bass contrast! So I would say take the plunge in the event that you needn't bother with a speaker for monitoring audio however you need to appreciate great music and awesome association with the diversion and theater like the sound! What's more, it looks great too! The rubber pad brings about the ideal result. Totally recommended.- Lows are greatly great,- Mids are great also,- Highs are alright not very shabby either!*Sound card recommended for even better sound (DAC or PCI).What's more, for the other thing:To begin with, I got this on seventeenth October from SUPER DEALS 24X7 ** and returned it the following day, kinda! as the pickup got rescheduled! since the left speaker was flawed so the substitution procedure! Following 9-10 days I lost my understanding as it didn't achieve the warehouse at that point so I requested the refund and got it, 10 on 10 for the refund yet the substitution was pitiable. Did I specify that the deficient one was made in 2014 something, even the Logitech logo was old! I will post a photo of the new logo.anyway so ordered again as I had to choose the same seller as other seller made the price way to high**! (10k something for Loveangel seller, seriously?) so after and before making the order I contacted the amazon agent and assured me it will be delivered within 4days however the courier was Ecom Express! Bloody hell, I contacted them so many times and even the item ended in my city for 2 days for reasons unknown and the conveyance station was 15 minutes away! When I called them they addressed me "There is no individual accessible for the conveyance" along these lines, I would recommend you cross out you're any request if the courier is Ecom Express and you're in rush! furthermore, some amazon specialist is so moronic truly appalled. didn't helped me a bit! be that as it may, this time the item is working fine and a recent manufacturing date! Despite all the facts that I would say that the merchant is really alright-ish, so don't be anxious.** I have reached the seller and they immediately reacted! First I got it in lightning deal(7999), then got it at regular price (8390) as other seller made the price 8500+*** Using companion 5 for more than 1 year and H20 for more than 3monthslinks for Bose and Samsung-Bose Companion 5 Multimedia Speaker System (Graphite/Silver)New Samsung HW-H20 2.1 Channel Multimedia Speaker

ITS JUST AWESOME !! NO WORDS !!!
this is first time i'm writing a product review on amazon, after a long research about speaker systems atlast i fixedLogitech Z-623 2.1 THX...im not a music enthusiastic, but i love rich bass and crisp music quality , i hv ordered this product on Feb 15th and it reached my home today (22nd feb) first they promised i will get it by 20th, i was very excited to see and feel it, but unfortunately they changed the expected delivery date to 23rd, i hv contacted amazon customer care twice and i gt disappointed, god's grz next day i got call from my nearest amazon office to pick the parcel!!The product was very well packed in 3 boxes !! ( 1 amazon & 2 logitech boxes ) the amazon sealing of the first box was cracked.. i think someone tried to see whats inside and he seen a lot of boxes ! LOLThe size of the subwoofer was not as expected as it was small...i hv doubted how can it make my windows rattling ?! ( i have readed so many reviews and seen a lot of people saying it will shake your windows ! )1st i tried to connect it to my LED tv (LG 32LF550A) yes it have an audio out port (RCA ) but i was shocked its not working !!! ya there is only a small mumering like noise on the satelite speakers and subwoofer was sleeping !! tried everything on my tv and still the same ! next i tried it on my D2H HD set top box !!! wuaaaah ha ha it works !!!!!SUDDENLY I FELT LIKE I WAS SHIFTED TO A THEATER !!! You guys dont belive its Rich bass !! its a thundering beast !its just amazing how this small subwoofer making this much bass and shaking the all things around it !!When they changed the estimated delivery date i fixed i will give them only 1 star rating ! but now see i give it all 5 stars coz im extremely satisfied with this product !!!no wonder it surely deserves THX certification...it can easly beat any 15k range 5.1 surround system easly !!!but some may feel the treble is bit low, any way its enough for me first i said im not a music enthusiast! i love to watch movies like how i felt in theaters and i got what i expected !worth money..excellent 2.1 speaker system in this price range highly recomending it ! BUY IT HEAR IT FEEL IT !PROS : Rich bass enough to make your windows rattle,,bass can be fully turned off, no strange noices when its not using, its not huge but it works like a huge subwoofer you can save spaceCONS : satelite speakers doesn't make any bass, wire length of satelits is too short to fix it in a good position, music quality can be make much better, treble is very low and no treble control

Why THX branding? Logitech need to improve satilite speakers and reduce crossover frequency
There was steep price rise of logitech audio products over past year. I was planing to buy this speaker for long time. Received a repacked box (i think as per box condition) However product is in good condition. No signs of previous usage. Anyways here is what i observed after using this.Subwoofer is excellent. Although crossover frequency is very high to my liking. Ideally adjustable crossover is what we need. Given satilite are less powerful compared to sub logitech had put crossover frequency very high at 150hz. Satilites rated at 35watts, my feeling is they are 15-20watts in reality. No complaints on sub power. Will shake each and every item in the house. One has to trun the bass nob to 30-35% to get balenced sound. If more bass is added satilites feel underpowered.Biggest bummer is right satilite wire is very thick and cannot be extended because of integrated contols. I also wonder why the power plug is so thin and delicate given the RMS power of 200 watts. I am not sure if logitech compromized on power supply circutary. I have not tested these speakers at full volume so i cannot confirm this.Sub frequency responce is 35-150Hz. I tried playing sine waves of lower frequencies below 35, it took very well above 25Hz. Below 25Hz volume goes down as well as presence of excessive port noise. Satilites are directional because of high crossover point. This makes this system not a very suitable for big halls. I would have rated better if satilites are better quality. Given lack of options in Indian market this is a good product although price is on higher side.Had listened to Sony D100 in showrooms. I think z623 is better system than that. Yes built-in bluetooth present in D100. D100 is 4.1 setup with olny stereo input. So not a ideal surround sound setup. But good for big halls where understanding dailague is important. Z623 is good for personal listening and partying. D100 not as powerful as this but may be suitables for living rooms for watching TV.Logitech please dont waste money on THX branding. Use that royalty money on improving the product it self.

Best 2.1 speaker below 10000 , though lacks some modern features but excellent on clarity, voice,bass,build...Best in class
Overall Best value for money and best sound , slightly less on features, but still give it full marks -as does main job as speakers excellently. I have used three speakers thus far1.Fenda 330 bt= 56 watts RMS= Bluetooth , Bass control, but no USB or memory-awesome value for money n cheapest.Failed on one IC being out switched 2 to 1 Audio in.Great buy still on reliance digital for rs 1999.Nothing can beat this young beast in terms for value for money. Though its a discontinued model.2.Logitech Z-623 =200 wats RMS, simply mind blowing, THX Certified , lovely bass at low volumes , unbeatable price at rs 9000 from cloud tail-amazon...Go blindly , if your budget is for up to 10000. Nothing in the market at that price comes closer to it at the moment.Sadly no bluetooth, USB Connection , only Aux. But best music in market at that price. No doubts. looks like an model soon to be outdated , hence selling below at MRP Price of rs 16455. The build quality of speakers is rich premium feel-awesome3.LG OM4560- After I bought Logitech Z-623 above , a week back , wanted another speaker in lieu of my ailing Fenda model above. I am neither a music buff , nor a techie , but an ex guitarist and a layman , who like s all kinds of music and appreciates good speakers. This speaker sounded good and was advertised as 220 watts RMS at chroma wrongly , where I went in to listen it. Plus the reviews on Amazon India n flipkart. LG has come a long way indeed. this is a small boombox and good for a 260 sq feet room but music wise way below bass on logitech Z-623 above. The areas where it scores is , Bluetooth,USB, One single unit compared to other 2.1 channels , beautiful led changing lightings , n mike of ahuja make , which came along with it from a local store -which gave the best price at rs 14350...Online the price is expensive. better buy from a local dealer who is cheaper than online and vijay sales, chroma , sargam etc..The things which go against this is -not a party speaker n low on bass compared to above and may be others in that price range. And a hefty price tag at 14350. Is it value for money ???? I have some doubts , but my kids aged 20 and 22 , do like modern day features , like blue tooth , n mike , hence a keeper.4. Tried sony sa-d100 4.1 channel speakers-100 RMS (rs 8490-loca store) and Fenda F& d 3800 fx 5.1 channel with 80 RMS and reliance digital Reconnect electra at reliance show room. While Sony is good at rs 8500 in Reliance digital , F&D is value for money. Reconnect is okay on bass and VFM but doubt on after sale service and parts , hence out of equation.I have listened to many sets in showroom and read a lot of reviews , as am a guy who researches on his electronic toys before buying..In terms of ranking , here it goes..1.Logitech z623-undisputed champion on bass and clarity -THX certified-Old model though, but nothing beats it..especially for party occasions.2.Number two LG OM 4560 -If money no problem , as host of good features and remember is a single carry on unit. LG's FH2 Model is an alternative with equally good sound and can be carried as with built in trolley n has rechargeable battery too. This is not a party speaker , good for room sizes up to 250 sq feet , but definitely behind logitech above.3.F& D comes third , though best value for money , but is a chinese company and we normally would avoid a chinese product these days , though they offer good variety in lots of 2.1 and 5.1 channel speakers.4. Would avoid Sony- least good looking and very costly after sale maintenance. Sony has taken Indian market for a ride ...and penalised Indians for loyalty , not shown else where in world. The parts are expensive , services charges are exorbitant. stay away from a sony product , unless you are a diehard sony fan..My best wishes then.5. Where to buy-Amazon and flipkart offer good choices and reviews , with Amazon slightly better on prices compared to flipkart in terms of prices and questions answered , no where on any other e-commerce website. where to listen the speakers personally- Croma,Vijay sales,Sargam -for live performance , but not to be bought from these big retail chains as too many overheads and will not bargain. Best to buy from local exclusive brand stores , unless its a lighting deal from amazon or flipkart.Hope you enjoyed my fair review and have no interest in any brand and wrote basis experience. Thanks for your time.

The Standby mode is faulty
If the speaker goes into standby, it needs to be turned off and the again on, or you won't get any sound, even if you start for example Youtube.

Fantastic sound quality with a punchy bass and easily adjustable knobs for volume & bass
Bought the Logitech Z623 on discount at S$149. This is an older legacy model but the sound quality remains top notch. The bass is superb. All the controls/knobs being located on the right speaker makes it very convenient to adjust things - even the amount of bass. This is more practical than the newer designs where Logitech provides a separate hockey puck for adjustments, or other models where the bass knob is located on the subwoofer.

Good bang for the buck. Superior Bass.
I replaced my six-year-old Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 (K) that went kaput with the analog-only Logitech Z623 (Z). Here is a direct comparison:Specs & Build: both systems occupy a similar price range. The Z subwoofer is physically larger (approx. 1.8" x 2.4" x 1.0" larger) than the K, while the Z satellites are slightly more compact. Power-wise, the Z is rated at 400W peak (200W RMS), doubling the K’s 200W peak rating.Setup was a breeze. The 3.5mm cable is barely long enough with the PC on the right and the subwoofer on the left of the desk; I had to get an extension.Sound QualityMids: The K produces richer mid-tones, offering better vocal and instrument definition.Highs: The Z delivers crispier sparkling highs.Bass: The Z’s bass is significantly more powerful and deeper. It handled my test tracks—featuring sub-drops, downsweeps, and wobble bass—without distortion, even at high volumes. The Z delivered the best experience I've had playing electronic music with the above features.Design & Placement: aesthetics are secondary to function for me. The Z satellites sit securely on my desk corners with a fixed up-tilt (approx. 25 degrees from the vertical), pointing the drivers directly at my ears for optimal high-frequency experience.Durability: my previous Logitech system lasted a decade before I gave it away fully functional. I expect similar longevity from the Z623.My primary usage is electronic / synth music playback, with occasional gaming.

Estas pequeñas bocinas tienen un súper sonido para computadora de escritorio o laptop. También sirven muy bien para ambientar una fiesta pequeña con un celular. Excelentes bajos y potencia. Ocupan poco espacio y tienen muy bonito acabado.
