Good
I read all 3 of these shorter books, not in the correct order. They were fantastic. I sure wished we'd gotten a little more of this couple once they fell in love. It's a slow burn, lots of anticipation until they admit they want each other. Then sex, and done. I'm glad we got to glimpse them still happy in the other books.

Another must-read from Ali Hazelwood
I am convinced Ali Hazelwood can do no wrong. I was excited about “Under One Roof” after having read- and adored- “The Love Hypothesis” but was still a little tentative. With only the audiobook out first, I wasn’t sure if I should go ahead and buy or just wait to read on Kindle. On top of that, I really prefer the length of a novel to spend more time with characters and really understand their personalities and motives. In the end, I went ahead and started listening to the audiobook.I shouldn’t have bothered worrying. Despite the short length, our main characters Mara and Liam are people with histories, friends, hobbies, and quirks, and even the side characters have been written to be believable and charming. Mara is an environmental engineer who knows her worth, but still falls into the trap so, so many women do of making themselves just a little bit smaller so they don’t ruffle any feathers and subsequently lose professional opportunities. Liam is in his own common trap: following the advice and guidance of someone you love and trust even though you know it’s not the right path for you. As they work through their professional lives, they’ve both recently lost someone dear to them and are adjusting to living with an unexpected roommate. Inevitably, sparks fly, but this isn’t a case of insta-love. These are two people who need the care and support of the other to feel romance, and it’s a beautiful show of budding friendship and ultimately companionship.Hazelwood did a wonderful job making these characters interesting and easy to get to know. Within the first few pages, Mara is already relatable and someone you want to spend time with. Liam is book boyfriend-worthy from the get-go, but by the time the words “good girl” are uttered (when you know, you’ll know), we might be in hyperventilation territory. Do I wish there was more? Of course. I would love to know more about Mara’s time in grad school, Liam’s relationship with his family and mentor, and spend time with both of these characters with their friends. But for a sweet, short escape, this is another must-read from Ali Hazelwood.

Cute, simple, fun
This book was a quick and cute read. There were moments where I had a hard time circling back to it, meaning it didn’t hold my attention, but I still enjoyed it all the way through. The main character was a little dense at times. I wish she had picked up on cues much earlier, but it’s all good. Very quick and easy to read!

From enemies to something more?!?
I read Below Zero first and it is nice to see that the author is not formulaic in structuring tales. Thus book could almost be a Nora Efron movie. Especially when sparks fly between the two main characters as soon as they lay eyes on one another and then all hell breaks loose over a house. Will these two make things work or will the beloved house be left an ashen heap?!? You have to read it to find out!

hmm
This was a fun and cute read! I loved that both characters stayed true to who they were. It was definitely cheesy but what rom com isnt??Spicey seen at the end was 5/5 🌶️4⭐️

Shot but cute
A worthwhile short romance. I wish it was a little longer and the end was mostly just spicy scenes. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Enjoyed this novella!
A really enjoyable novella. It gave me all of the romantic feels and it had the typical don't like each other at the beginning, then become friends and fall for each other. The attraction between Mara and Liam is strong when they first meet but then Liam finds out she's his new room mate and this does not fly for him. So it's the back and forth and not sure how the other one feels short story with a bang up ending! Easy, quick read and I love Hazelwood's writing, her characters are fun, flawed and easy to relate to!

Can we have the novel version now? Please?
I'm giving this book a 3 star review because it was very clear to me that the author could have made 5 star novel out of the material she did have but decided to proceed with a severely truncated 2 star level novella bordering on short story. She is very clearly a TALENTED writer with a VOICE (which is RARE). And she chose NOT to use it...I just can't. Ali Hazelwood, why?I'm not sure why she chose the novella format because frankly this story, the heroine, and the romantic interested deserved a more fleshed out narrative than they received. I'm legit saying, I thoroughly enjoyed what I read and I wanted more/could easily see more, and I want my one star to be based on the fact that what I read sounded awesome and then that awesome story just very quickly ended/fizzled out in a way that made me feel cheated for having invested so much of my emotions.Reading this, I can see the start of a promising novel (heck, even a film/tv series) in it. I can see the beginnings of a story of intergenerational female activists, the trauma of being female in a male dominated world, the struggle of being young and alone because your family of origin sucks (and asexual to boot if we're looking at this through the love interests' perspective), the delicate balance of simply existing in a sucky world going to the dumps and you just trying your hardest to give a f*** and save yourself at the same time. I could see all of it in little hints and glimmers and.... AARGH.But we were never allowed to just land softly there and revel in it all, like she did in The Love Hypothesis which was an excellent balance of all that + thirst trap raunchy rom com. This was too short, too unresolved, and too promising, and it makes me angry that we got none of the pay off from The Love Hypothesis.Anyway, I pre-ordered the next one even though I know that this is very clearly going to persist as a novella series (and quite possibly also because I have a masochistic side that I was previously unaware of). Pray for me, y'all.

OMG🥰🔥
that was amazing, the last chapter OMG 🔥🔥🔥🔥Liam is so cute. Ali always write fictional men who are perfectly cute, kind, grumpy and hot. (Well, Liam is the second one that I know from her but I've heard great things about Levi and the others). I'm so excited about meet more of her characters.

Adam Carlsen vibes. That is all.
Ali Hazelwood is a master at writing her grumpy/sunshine. Liam is broody and gives me Adam vibes (I am here for it.)It was so short though (I love long reads) and I finished this one too quickly. I know it's a novella, but I need more Liam and Mara in my life. This book was cute as heck and I live for the STEM romance. ALSO enemies to lovers for a short period. This book has everything you could ever want. I am so excited to read the other books in this little novella series.

Wonderful.
This was only the second Ali Hazlewood novel I have read and it did not disappoint. I have since purchased 3 more. I love her style of writing, witty, clever. I love the innocence of the character but wordly-wise and intelligent at the same time. The character questioning things in her mind reminded me or well... me. Just shows non of us are as confident as we try to appear on the outside.

OMG !
I love this story ! It's been a long time since I read a story with such a cute (steamy) couple, I loved Mara and felt in love alongside her with Liam even if I don't usually like enemy to lover plots. I am just sad the story ended a little fast, I wanted more !
