I love being able to customize the blinking pattern/timing of the front and rear lights.It’s really comfortable, and I really don’t notice the extra weight—it’s about 7 oz heavier than my previous helment.My old helmet had a magnetic visor that was tinted, so while it made me look “cool”, I can see so much better with clear visor. And the bottom edge of this visor actually touches my cheeks (lightly), and virtually no wind come into my eyes. My old helmet had a much wider gap, so I could feel wind blowing through on hills when I would hit higher speeds.The MIPS technology is also a plus. Hopefully I’ll never have to actually take advantage of it!!Overall, a great piece of technology and style. Form and function working together beautifully. The safety and peace of mind with well worth the price.The only downside is the sound of the turn signals (esp the “car blinker”) is way too quiet, and I can’t hear it when I’m on the road. The “beep” works, but I wish I could control the volume with the app. Maybe they can add that with a firmware upgrade down the road. Fingers crossed.Love this helmet.***UPDATE: Since delivery of my helmet, I got an Apple Watch SE (2022), and got the “arm-gesture turn signaling” working! Took some figuring out to do to get the Beta test working (i.e., getting Lumos App from my iPhone to the Apple Watch), but once I did, it works really well. Now when I use my left arm to signal my turns, the lights on the Lumos helmet flash accordingly. Love that I don’t have to fumble with the remote on the handlebars to use the turn signals anymore.The only downside it that the Apple Watch can’t have two apps working at the same time, so I can’t track my biking stats and use the Lumos turning app at the simultaneously. But, I love having the hands-free signaling, so I use that exclusively.
