I finally retired my old Radio Shack test leads after 20 years and went looking for new ones. Ran across these and ordered a set - my how things have changed. These are far and away a solid upgrade to what I'd been using - decent length, heavier gauge wire and nice grippy clips. Nothing to complain about at all except that I didn't get them sooner.

This is great for temporary connections and testing things out and such. Good quality, well worth the price

I purchased these leads to use while troubleshooting electrical issues on small boats. They are well made, with the wire being soldered to the clip and of decent wire gauge. The clips themselves have a very strong spring, which allows them to firmly grasp what they are clipped to. Now, the only hang-up up, the insulating covers are very slick, which makes holding the clips open a bit difficult. Hopefully, with use, this slickness will disappear.

The media could not be loaded. I received these in good condition. I checked the alligator clips and I checked that they are soldered. They appear to be crimped properly on the insulator soldered properly to the alligator clip. I did not have a magnet to check to see if they are copper or have any Ferris metal in them. I’ll let you know when I run across a magnet to test them.I tested a few for continuity and they tested good.

I bought these to cut up and use as pigtails. I can verify that there in fact 18awg copper! Worth the money!

These are good ones! I've gotten plenty of cheap ones that have the conductor just squeezed in the clip. Half of those fail right out of the box and the other half fail too soon to be worth using. These are soldered properly for a secure connection. The alligator teeth meet well, the springs are reasonably strong but not too strong for my fingers. The wire is 18 gauge stranded and is not steel core. I will buy these again!

So very handy to have around for testing items with battery. Not the heavy duty alligator clips but good enough for most testing.
